I just smiled big and told her she was welcome to call me by any of my nicknames. Just don t share them with your son to spread around the whole school. I said it wouldn t matter much anyway, since I d probably changed and showered with her son in 2 years of phy ed classes and sports after school anyway.

She said this had bothered her for years and she d always wanted to apologize to me. I said no reason to apologize, I was glad to be nicknamed what I was and friends still call me by those same nicknames today. I feel bad she even thought it was any big deal to me. I liked my nicknames and liked people using them all through grade school and middle school and high school.
