I have an appointment tomorrow to discuss hormones. It is in the local Planned Parenthood office. I called my own doctor’s office (they have multiple doctors and nurse practitioners) and did a search online with my insurance company of doctors etc and wasn’t able to find anyone else local. I’d have to drive a bit but didn’t want to if I could find someone local. In all my online searching I saw something about Planned Parenthood doing hormones for transgender people. So last week I was in their neighborhood and stopped in. The receptionist was very nice and signed me up for an appointment the following week, which is tomorrow.

Anyone have any experience with Planned Parenthood?

I’m still debating with myself whether I should tell them that I want to transition to a female or to be honest and say that I want to be a eunuch. I don’t want to deal with breasts right now, and the wife wouldn’t want that either. I basically want my T to go away and reduce my libido. At my age (65) I’m tired of dealing with it, and my wife is too. If the lowered T works like I think it will, and by reading this forum (thanks everyone), then I will go for a castration.

yes they are doing my HRT , im transitioning .

tell them the TRUTH as it will probably make a difference in the drug treatment they give you , different drugs for each end result..

Well... So far so good. They want to confir with my cardiologist first. I understand that spironolactone can be used as a heart medication. So my other heart and blood pressure meds can be reduced possibly. She said I should be able to get a prescription in a week.

I had the same issue when I started, they got the answer and handed me my meds and away I went .

they are so easy to work with and don't make you seem out of place...

I would recommend them to any one looking for this type of HRT
