Mail Order "Home Castration Kit for Young Boys" and some other thoughts.

As a Senior in High School I was good friends with a sixth grader who I tutored in math. One day, out of the blue, he told me that he had been looking through a mail order catalog from the early 20th century and noticed an unusual item for sale. Nick said it was a "Home castration kit for young boys."

My first inclination was to tell Nick that such an add had to have been a hoax or someone's idea of a joke. Although, at that time, some boys were still being castrated to "calm them down" there wasn't (so far as I know) mail older castration kits. But I didn't say anything, I just let the matter drop. The way Nick said it he sounded more aroused than horrified as if the idea turned him on. I was afraid to probe further.

On another occasion I overheard Nick telling a younger friend that kids who were sent to juvenile hall were sometimes castrated. When the younger boy asked what castrated was Nick said with relish, "That means they cut your balls off!" His younger friend actually believed him and was terrified. This time I stepped in and corrected Nick. I told the younger boy that no such thing ever thing happens. :shakemitk

I'm still friends with Nick today. He's now a father and I'm quite sure that he no longer has any interest castration. He's outgrown it. I think that's the way it is for lots of young boys around puberty. They're both horrified and excited by the thought of being castrated but as they grow older they get over it. The members of this board, on the other hand, have held on to that part of their youth.

It would be interesting to know if Nick now recalls talking about the conversations about the catalog item, and the subject of juvenile detention castration with his friend. And if so, what he thinks today about castration, and what he recalls thinking back as a youth.

I wonder if his fetish will grow even stronger after he is done having kids. It seems to hit men at its strongest to actually get castrated after they no longer need their balls and sperm for having families. I wonder if he enjoys play acting it out with his wife now ? He might decide he needs a full bag for when his kids see him now. And decide he can be a eunuch when his kids are old enough to handle seeing him with an empty sack and not freak out about it.

But most guys do outgrow the games of hitting each other in the nads that most boys love playing at puberty. Nearly all guys go through the trying to nail your friends gonads by surprise games just as puberty is teaching them what their balls are for and what they actually do for them.

That kid had guts to bring it up to a guy much older than him. He must have wanted to see what your reaction to castration and his interest in it would be ? Boys want to see what the people they know and respect think about sex and about them becoming a sexual male and being openly allowed to talk about sex. The idea that now that I m growing up, I get to talk about sex like grown men get to do, openly and with no shame or embarrassment. I don t have to be a good little non sexual boy any more after a certain age attitude. All boys need to make that in transitioning from a good little boy to an openly sexual man at some point in growing up. They like to talk about sex with older boys and men to help them to make that transition from boy to man and see how men react to them asserting their sexual personality that most females will try to suppress in young boys. Men and older boys encourage boys to enjoy being sexual and encourage them to take risks and try things as part of growing up to be a man. Many mothers and other females want to protect and coddle boys and keep them little kids longer.

Just imagine what most older females reaction would be to this boy mentioning a home castration kit verses what reaction this boy wanted to get. He was lucky to bring it up to Atreyu69 and get his mature reaction to this topic as compared to how most older males would react to it.

This is the first I've ever heard of a mail-order home-castration kit. One would think that if it had actually been a thing, there would have been records of it, and we've have heard of it before.

In my many adventures (and misadventures) of raising boys, the subject of castration has come up a few times. Generally, it would come up at something like a baseball game, after a hit to the groin by a baseball. Then there is the case of L., the boy from the football (not soccer) team, who was routinely threatened by his mother with elastration. Took me a while to clear that one up! Part of that story is actually published, but I cannot remember which paper it is in. Perhaps Jesus will remember?

Kids and teens I ve known like to process new or scary concepts by asking a person they trust what they think about it.

I ve had kids ask me about girls, sex, drugs, bullying, parents, sports, hobbies, teachers, homework, anything that s important to them. They want to see what an older, smarter, and more experienced teen or adult thinks and advises about what is on their mind. It helps them in forming their own opinions and attitudes on new things and problems they are having.

It wouldn t surprise me at all if he couldn t think of how to bring up castration of himself with you. So he made up a do it yourself story just as an excuse to open that tricky subject with you. His aged kids were clueless on castration or what it involved as you mention. He needed a male that knew what it was and had an opinion on it to get any useful info or feedback on it. He was making a big deal about telling other boys about it as you saw. Likely making up the reform school castration story to have any excuse to apply it to boys and men.

It would be interesting to know

how and where he first heard about men being castrated. But 6th graders are way more sexual than people think they are. We were little sex fans at that age. We knew a lot from older brothers and older kids by that age. Any minor sex ideas or nudity always got our dicks hard at that age. Things that years later wouldn t phase us or seem sexy enough to get hard over.
