Brazilian teenager dies after penis bitten off by shark

He underwent a three hour operation to try and save him, but died a few hours later.

An 18-year-old Brazilian boy who had his penis bitten off by a shark has died.

Jose Ernesto da Silva was swimming with his brother and friends off Piedade Beach, near Recife in Brazil, when the attack happened.

Lifeguards had warned him to swim closer to the shore just before he was attacked.

A spokesman for the Recife Fire Department said Jose was swimming in deep water despite signs warning of shark attacks.

Horrified beach-goers pulled him from the surf and tried to stop the bleeding until medics arrived.

The boy suffered two heart attacks in the ambulance as he was rushed to hospital.

He underwent a three-hour operation, during which his left leg was amputated and veins were re-attached to his sexual organs. However, the doctors’ attempts to save him were in vain, and he died a few hours later.

It shows how fast a healthy young man can die from bleeding ! Think of how fast he got professional help and how fast he went into heart failure from bleeding. I read a report of a different shark bite on only a teen s crotch. He bled to death and died minutes after he reached the beach ! Just mere minutes from a perfect healthy young man to dead and only bleeding from his dick and balls in that attack !

Those lifeguards are incredibly brave swimming out into deep water, unarmed, in the middle of a shark attack, and towing him in bleeding with the shark after them and crazy from all the blood in the water. Those lifeguards have balls of gold, not steel, to do that to save him !

All crowded swimming areas worldwide should invite shark fishing ships to completely empty out the entire shark population near busy swimming beaches. Busy beaches are a pin point of water area in the world s vast oceans. There is endless open ocean and empty shoreline for sharks to exist and stay far away from swimmers and surfers.

At least the attack was probably immediate and hopefully he didn't realize what was taken from him in the dark water. The idea of your cock being stolen and carried off at lightning speed in the belly of such an evil creature would be horrible. One of the commenters on another copy of the article, a woman, commented it would hardly be a snack for a shark and said it was probably still stuck in its teeth. I agree a shark attack would be one of the worst animals to try to fight off in deep water. Yet the media bias is always propaganda that the human shouldn t have been in the water and its the humans fault. Land animal attacks rarely accuse people of not belonging on land and being at fault for daring to be on land.

In this story, blame is leveled at the victim for swimming in deep water, ? And for being in water where some threat of shark danger is claimed with no backing explanation or evidence given. But clearly the intent is to blame the victim with no blame being placed on the shark who attacked him. Any man killing land animal would be tracked down and destroyed to prevent any similar future attacks. But not with sharks. Supposed shark " experts " will simaultaneously claim sharks don t intentionally prey on people, a clearly proven lie. And yet also blame every shark attack victim for ever entering any water, as if entering any water is surely asking to be attacked by sharks. It can t be both ways !

Friendly, harmless sharks who don t eat people can t be used as a reason why no humans should ever enter the water or deserve to be killed by sharks if they do go in the water. Yet, this is the garbage the press and its shark " experts " shovel out for every shark attack. Mass shark attacks, such as those documented off the Dominican Republic that repeatedly attacked and intentionally ate dozens of humans from a sinking refugee boat are minimally covered by the press as coverage would be revealing the intentional lies in their usual coverage of most shark attacks.

The reality is the boy had his LEG bitten off, along with his genitals, but the penis is the least of his worries because he DIED. If he had only his penis bitten off I guess that would be worth mentioning, but this story is about a boy dying due to his leg being bitten off. That is sensational enough -- why capitalize PENIS when it is almost irrelevant to the story and also is potentially embarrassing.

Imagine a person burning to death and the news article is is titled "Boy's PENIS burned", or a person dying in a car crash and title being "Boy's PENIS crushed".

Yes any men lucky enough to be blessed with impressive sexual organs is in more danger of harm and cruel remarks and acts than average endowment men. I agree with you. Excellent points. The press loves to sell sex, scandal, jealousy, shame, and many of humanity s worst facets. Any excuse to talk about and sell sex and the press dives in eagerly. This story is about a shark attack and a man dying. I hate any 18 year old man being called a boy as false and insulting. Except when its used personally as an affectionate term. This man died. His penis was a major part of the damage done by the shark. A factual medical listing of the actual body damage the shark caused is appropriate, but not as the headline.
