Chemical Castration
I have been considering having surgical castration for over 12 months but before I go ahead with it, is it best to try the chemical aproach? If so what are the best options and should I inform my Doctor befoe I start taking anything?

Re: Chemical Castration
I'm chemically castrated with Androcur since last summer....
I think it's a good first step before to decide a surgical castration...

Re: Chemical Castration
Since last june i have been on depo provera and it has worked well for me and it is suplied by my doctor .It is FDA approved but i here androcur works well also .I think you are making a good choice by trying chemical castration first since you dont know how if you will be satisfied or not being a eunuch and chemical castration is reversable good luck.

Re: Chemical Castration
Yes good choise,
I took Androcur for a year before I was castrated last September. Being in the UK you can get Androcur very easy so I guess its what you prefer, shots or pills, both will do the job and help you make that decision.
Good luck,
River
