Have ostheoporosis and want to try chemical castration with androcur or similar.

Post by curiouseunuch (imported) »

I want to experience being chemically castrated but nothing permanently, at least not at this moment. I've been reading about androcur and other hormones I could inject. I was diagnosed osteoporosis recently (I'm bearly passing 30), that lead my doctor to check my T levels, which were normal. She actually told testosterone was the reason I'm not breaking my bones. So I'm really afraid if I go through any process I'll worsen my osteoporosis. I'm also afraid of other outcomes like growing male breast. Any ideas or comments will be appreciated.

You are right to be concerned so be sure and be careful.

Firstly I’d say that if you already have osteoporosis then you must appreciate that chemical castration probably comes with a very high risk of making it worse. If you reduce your bone density any further I’m honestly not sure if you can ever get it back.

That said, if you’re determined to go ahead then I think that taking something like Raloxifene or Tamoxifen in addition to an anti androgen would help. Both medications are Selective Oestrogen Receptor Modulators (SERMs), and would also reduce the risk of gynaecomastia (breast growth).

A high daily dose of calcium and vitamin D (they usually come in a combined pill with other minerals) would also be advisable.

It may not be an easy subject to talk about, but in your case I would strongly advise talking to your doctor about it before trying anything, and to be honest unless testosterone is making your life so miserable that the potential benefits of chemical castration to your quality of life outweigh the risks, I’m not sure that I would advise trying it.

i have bad osteoporosis aswell(T value of -3.4), i am in my mid 30's

Ive started using HRT estrogen 6 weeks now, so far no regret, as i feel exactly the same as living 12 years without T. Should have done it before. (yes you get breath grow)

I also use vit K2, Vit D, calcium, magnesium and boron to have the best base for growing bone.

Might aswell begin with bisphosphonates, not sure about that yet.

So i hope next year my scan will be an increase in bonemass....

Thanks for the comments, I will researche about SERMs. I'm still in process of getting the osteoporosis under control. I need to get some lab tests done regarding my osteoporosis, Ill finish with that (hopefully soon enough) and will follow with chemical castration (as a first trial)
