Hey,
Its been about a year now since Ive posted here. Im now one year post castration done by Dr Arnkoff and Im still finding that I have some sensitivity at my scar line and ends of my cords, kind of like my cords get caught and are pulling or being squeezed/squashed? Just wondering how long it took for others for this to go away or become less sensitive?? I love that my balls are gone and so happy in life atm however Im considering maybe seeing about having my cords removed and sac removed to fix the sensitivity Im having? Just want to know what others have experienced? Getting castrated was the best decision I have made, zero regret, just want it to be more comfortable and dont want to have any unnecessary surgerys.

Hey,
It’s been about a year now since I’ve posted here. I’
Mine were something of an issue for probably a couple of years. You'd go along for awhile not even thinking about your ball less state and then one of the cords will get pinched or something and it'll bring you straight up off your seat just like having had your balls kicked before they were removed. I think possibly that I might have more of the cords left as Dr. A's assistant (his daughter-in-law) was off on Maternity leave when mine was done so he had to do it alone.
Knowing what I know now, I'd have dearly loved to have the inguinal orchie and my scrotum removed, but at the time, it took me a year to save up the money for the procedure and travel expenses. It took my incision a long time to heal with some spots having more of a space between the sutures than others and it wasn't looking too great at all. It did eventually clean up and with some subsequent shrinkage of my scrotum, doesn't look bad at all.
I've found two issues with having your scrotum removed and/or the cords shortened; one is a Urological procedure, the other is a Plastic Surgery procedure. Pretty difficult to find a Surgeon who can do both. Remember that while Dr. A is a Urologist and can do the Orchie, he's not a Plastics guy. Also, the inguinal approach to shorten the cords will require a general anesthetic in a hospital as would the scrotum removal. That means it's a bunch more expensive than a local in Dr. A's office. People have said that it's not hard to find a Plastic guy to do the scrotum, but I spent almost a year trying to find one. There are a lot of them who will do a reconstruction on the scrotum, but when you tell them you want it removed, they all ask if your plan is SRS. When you tell them no, you're perfectly happy being a Eunuch but would like a cleaner look and not an empty sack getting in the way, they all quit talking to me so I gave up.
Just my experiences and thoughts, YMMV....

Re: 1 year
I had sensitivity as you describe after I was castrated by a cutter. It mostly resolved, eventually. It took about 3 years though.
I still have some phantom sensations after my penectomy, and I'm not quite 3 years in yet. I find them interesting and not unpleasant, but it is a bit odd because I know the parts are not there.
I think if you give it another year or two, you'll find it reduced. If it's not painful, I'd not worry about it for a while yet.

My Urological surgeon, knowing of this problem, cauterized my cords. Apparently that was the right thing to do as I've experienced nothing such as you describe. As to the scar? I have no scar, at best a surgical line that is easily visible with a magnifying glass. Those using cutters or production line surgeons need to understand that there are side effects they may not have considered in their mania to achieve a goal.

Thank you all for your candid and honest experiences. for those of us that are truly considering castration in our future, this has been one of the most educational threads I have read. I hope there are more.

Several Eunuch Archive members have used Dr. Arnkoff for castration and penectomy. I have not heard of anyone else with this problem, it may be unique to you. I have not had any problems and I still have cords, but I used Dr. Kimmel in Philly. I suspect that the end of the cords may have attached themselves to the skin from the inside, which can and does happen. That's probably what causing your problem. Wish you the best. P.S. If you're considering castration, you might want to ask your surgeon to remove as much of the cords as possible to prevent this issue.

Maybe a little patience? It took nearly 5 years for my cords to shrink and never make themselves known.
While YMMV, maybe best not to get surgery for something that after a while cures itself?

Indeed it’s really a great help to have some more informations about the time after. If older, the health should be an important part. The most forget it. Often it’s too late and cancer or other problems are the result. Often the discussion is not seriously. Especially older friends, let’s exchange the experience and have a look, that more are ready for castration. Too often there is a negative mind. Of course, before making the first step – information is not false. Important, to find the right Dr. if ready for surgery. Or the chemical way.

Hey thanks for everyone who has replied. I will wait for a bit longer and see how things go. I think zeebster got it right in that it feels like something is pinched and It’s not constant, and it’s just sensitivity and not really painful (most of the time) And sounds like I will go away with some more time.
Thanks everyone again.
Thanks everyone again.

If I have any problems when I have my balls removed in April by Arnkoff, I'm sure the NHS will actually help me then.
