Thank you for posting it Belle. If Today’s Young Eunuch was an actual magazine I'd imagine that some of the essays and articles would be written with younger intact boys in mind. These young boys would still be trying to decide how they felt about castration and eunuchs. Stories written for them might be sort of lighthearted and nonsexual. I hope that feeling came across in Grand Slam.

I agree. In any story there has to be some conflict to make things interesting. If there's no conflict you might just as well be writing about a kid having his tonsils taken out. Since At the Cabin has a sort of agrarian feel to it I'd like to write about our young hero being castrated, along with a group of boys, in a fashion similar to livestock being fixed. Sort of like the story Gelding the Boy Herd. The challenge would be to make such a scenario believable to the reader. Suspension of disbelief can only take you so far. I'd also need to give the cutters some degree of compassion for the boys they are fixing otherwise the adults would be nothing more than stock villains. Rest assured I'm working on it.
