Estrofem (estradiol) for castration

Has anyone used Estrofem (estradiol) for castration? How effective was it? Were there any potentially disturbing side-effects such as gynecomasty or penis shrinkage?

I've used estrofem (estradiol hemihydrate IIRC) in the past, but it was in combination with spironolactone. MtF trans people used to use only estrogen to lower their testosterone levels, so it can help lower your test but requires higher levels than it would when used in combination with an anti-androgen.

I would suggest taking both estradiol and an anti-androgen such as cyproterone acetate.

I started having breast formation pains 7 days after starting, though the process of breast formation takes years to complete. Generally speaking, estradiol will make your breast tissue develop.

For me, breast formation is a very much desired effect, rather than a side-effect. If you don't want to develop any breast tissue, I would suggest avoiding estradiol all together.

You could take something like cyproterone acetate and raloxifene, if you want to get rid of your testosterone without developing breasts.

Thanks for the information. I want to eliminate libido without any feminization. I'll avoid Estrofem then, but Androcur did not work for me and Triptorelin I'm currently having injected has not produced the desired effect so far. So I guess Depo-Provera is the thing to consider.

I know of a user here who has paraphilia and Cyproterone was not enough so he switched to Triptorelin which also did not make him a complete castrate.

Studies show that most trans women can achieve low T levels with estradiol only if you have good levels of E. Probably need to inject 10-20mg of estradiol a week in the gluteus Maximus or half that subcutaneous every 3-4 days.

Use tamoxifen to the androcur and you will be sexless. Estrogen can fuel libido plenty

Check out a product called Transfemme. It is a glandular supplement made from cow ovaries. It claims, and testimonies state, that use for six months can produce breast growth in men that will be permanent.

Swanson's supplements has a similar product.
