Castration for religious reasons - anyone else in here do this?

Post by VicistiGalilaee (imported) »

One of the main reasons I'm looking into castration is to control sexual desires that I regard as sinful. Anyone else here for this?

There's got to be other like you. Sexual desires are natural, I don't think this is sinful but rather annoying. Castration is condemned by all religions, so getting castrated for religious reasons makes no sense. Find an other reason !😄

I don't really see a big difference in my desire to move beyond being sexual. It's all a matter of choice and belief in whatever leads you to where you want to be. As long as you know that losing sexual desires is not the only change when you're castrated. I'm following the advice of many on this site to try chemical castration first before taking the big step.

I think I've heard about every reason for people wanting to become a eunuch. I would suggest that you speak with a spiritual adviser regarding castration as a part of your religious path.

However, if you do decide to go ahead with it, I recommend a real doctor - one that has an MD and does that kind of thing.

Stick around this group, there's lots to learn here.

I ve never been able to understand how anyone can think of sex as sinful.

Whatever higher being or God people believe in, that entity created sex and sexual pleasures and sex drive to perpetuate the species and encourage human and other plant and animal sexual reproduction. And yes, even sin free plants have sperm and eggs. Every human that was ever alive is the product of sex. How is that sinful or wrong . Is all plant and animal sex and reproduction sinful or wrong ? Us humans are basically just horny animals with nearly the same sex organs and reproduction methods as most other animals. We are really not very different or unique from most animals in our sex drives and desires and how we enjoy sex.

I can see how actually acting out sexually criminal desires can be sinful or wrong. But almost all consenting sex is fantastic and very healthy for the people involved. As long as it is legal and consenting adults enjoying any wild sexual activity, you can hardly be sinning or immoral in glorious and healthy sex.

You should double check your religion s official positions on sexual activities and if your actual sexual activities you take part in are considered sinful before you get castrated over it. How do people in your religion reproduce to keep your religion going if they don t have any sex? The Shaker religion died off from practicing celibacy and none are left today because of that. Hardly what God created us sexual and lust filled men to do, to pointlessly go extiinct from not having any sex.

Sex is a giant gift from God to all humans and animals. That s why it feels so incredibly great !

"Well, that escalated quickly!"

Sex and religion have frequently been interconnected. It's not unusual for religion to provide a framework for sexual morality, if not set rules. Other discussions on this site review the history of men who becomes eunuchs for religious purposes, including control of their sexual urges. l, myself, am interested in this subject, too.

No religion should prevent you from your own natural given sexual desires. Thats yout life and do what you want, if you don't mean childs! ;)

Also homosexuality is absolute normal thing in the nature. Only the stupid humans give themself rules against his nature needs... lol

Sorry, I'm not relilious and don't see any sense in human made religions, because, we never will know, how the world works behind the horizon of our universe. But, it's no problem! :)

Live your life ... ok... it's easier here in middle europe then the rest of the world.

Do you really need a god who is making your life to hell? Think no! ;)

I don't think there is a god, but I think, there is our universe, with ohter phantastic possibillitys as we could think ever and we are the universe ... everybody. :D

See it all positive and let you don't hurt from sick "religious" phantasies of other people who are mostly died thousends of years!

Enjoy your sexuality, it is a gift! ... and anybody has get an other gift. :D

I'm for my self think a lot too much about sexual things (like to do also other things) and i like it to lower it a bit, but never would miss it completely.

Please keep in mind that religion vs. castration is a fine subject to discuss, so long as the religion in question about 'their' views on castration is discussed in an academical sense.

Please refrain from slamming anyone, or any one faith in particular.
