Cognitive problems from androgen deprivation - any experience this?

I've heard that some people have problems thinking after they are castrated. Has anyone experienced this?

If you not are under HRT after castration it's a common side effect that you will have more and more brainfog, if you are meaning that.

Agile working of brain needs steroid hormones like Testosterone.

Yes, that is true. I've been chem castrated from 42 till 50. Castration side effects settle in slowly. It took 5 years the side effects to reach their peak, at that point I should have quitted but I was too stubborn, I kept taking my anti androgen for an other 3 years. At that point, I was suicidal. Yes castration cause serious mental problems, cognition is only one of them, you may also call this brain fog. Everything gets more difficult, a simple addition will take you multiple times to end up to with the wrong answer😄. Memory lost: you decide to do something then a few second later you forgot what you were about to do, in all of a sudden you recall what it was, then few second later you can't remember😄 You'll lose all motivation, you'll plan something, then it'll take days, weeks, months or years to get them started. Arthritis : this will make you life miserable, every joints in your body will ache as you walk or move, forget running. Castration without TRT will make you feel like a 90 year old man. At the end, you'll fall into depression. Castrated men are diminished men, sure you can live without testosterone but certainly not to perform as a man. Castrated men are more or less like menopaused women. Nevertheless castration can be very tempting as a body modification. I'll not encourage nor disuade you to get it done, I'd even suggest you, if you ever get castrated, to let your T level go down completely to experience some effects of testosrerone deprivation but be prepared to get on TRT.🙏

This has not been my experience. When I read the history of eunuchs and the high rank and positions they have achieved I doubt it was so for them. I have been seeing a lot of blanket statements of late that operate under the assumption that since it happened to me it will happen to all.

I am one of those that by the time I had been no T for 2.5 years brain fog and some depression definitely got to be an issue and consequently a big factor in my starting some T replacement. I never wanted to do T and hope to sometime return to no T!

Without T I settled into a "don't care" attitude. There was no point to anything. Some of this persists even with T replacement. A definite down side to no T for many of us.
