Re: Empty sac or no sac?
My urologist was willing to take the scrotum too but told me it was cosmetic and Medicare wouldn't cover it. He also said he could do a reduction without an extra charge so I opted for that. He took about half. I'd like to have the rest of it gone but my main goal was castration so I'll most likely live out my days with an empty half sack.

Re: Empty sac or no sac?
My urologist did my orchi to chill my recurred prostate cancer. I didn't inquire about scrotum reduction or removal because I understood from this forum neither was Medicare covered because of not being medically necessary. My main goal was to control cancer by being rid of testosterone but my opportunity to have it accomplished via emptying out my scrotum was too appealing to not do. A year post-op, my now M.T. scrotum is shrunken up to have very little dangle and is no practical nuisance at all. I'm happy with it ... easy with no erotic libido left to make me care. PSA holding at 1.0 after peaking at over 23 pre-op is what pleases me most now.
