I'm interested in castration for this reason.
It sounds delightful but is the difference tangible? Is it truly noticeable as a part of who you are?
How is the eunuch calm?

Re: How is the eunuch calm?
I hear again and again "YMMV," that is "your mileage may vary." It seems that castration and it's effects are as unique as each individual, so I would STRONGLY recommend that you try chemical castration first, and see if it is for you.
Years ago, I was a very angry, sometimes depressed, all the time frustrated man. I had seen a documentary about sex offenders and the chemical castration some of them were taking. One fellow in the documentary who had raped and killed two, maybe three women and was on death row said something that really hit a note for me. The condemned man had a very high testosterone level and he voluntarily accepted chemical castration, he said that for the first time in his adult life he was able to actually think clearly, to think about things other that sex, and to understand the consequences of his actions, but it was when he said that he had not ever before even known of chemical castration and that "there are two people dead and I'm on death row for lack of a shot every month." That really got my attention.
At the time, I was living in El Paso, and I regularly went into Juarez (just across the border from El Paso), I knew they sold over the counter the depo provera that the sex offenders were being administered at that time. One day I decided "what the hell, I will try it!" Best decision I ever made!
For ME, I found chemical castration entirely enjoyable, for the first time since forever I remember getting to my apartment after work and NOT being "mad at the world." I quit having erections and I was actually happy about that, I even TRIED getting aroused looking at porn and I never ever even got mildly stiff. After two or three weeks I noticed one morning I had an erection, and I administered a shot to myself that day, and kept on taking depo provera shots every three or four weeks (whenever I started to get a morning erection), and for about four or five months I was genuinely calm and content.
BUT, YOU may be entirely different. I have read that EVERYONE has a severe depression after chemical or surgical castration, I guess that I am ONE who did NOT feel at all depressed. Again and again, YOU are unique and it may be horrible for you, I think it will probably be good for you and I would actually bet that you will find chemical castration very enjoyable, but the possibility clearly exist that you might be suicidal when you are chemically castrated. That is why I STRONGLY urge you to experiment first with chemical, then if it is right for you (and you can afford it) get surgically castrated.
