HRT FREE... Eunuchs
Hello all,
I would like to hear from those Eunuchs out there that are castrated and do not take HRT.
I am traveling along my path to castration without HRT. To me, what is the point of reintroducing testosterone back into your system, when removing the testosterone was the point to begin with?
I'm very interested in learning all the pros and cons; mental, physical and spiritual. Learning your journey, helps me and others on what to expect for the most part. A crystal ball if you will.
Have a great day my gentlemen,
BiBiker

Re: HRT FREE... Eunuchs
I am not currently a no T eunuch but I did go 2.5 years without but no T is not for all a totally pleasant ride. There are a lot if things I liked but there can be some pretty rough things that vary from person to person that can get pretty serious. The list can actually be quite lengthy and which ones you are able to deal with varies too. Brain fog, aching muscles, lack of sleep, lessened vision and shortness of breath along with increased heart rate were big factors in finally going on T. You do have some control of how much you get. Testosterone effects ever muscle in your body every cell in your body is meant to have some so there is no real crystal ball so you must be ready to accept whatever outcome including how it affects your brain which you may not know how it will react long time no T so enjoy the ride no mater what it will be an adventure!

Re: HRT FREE... Eunuchs
This December will be my 20th anniversary of life without testicles and HRT. Your post is asking a lot more than you might think. I will answer it as best as I remember.
First the physical since they were the first reminders that I was changing. Oh the hot flashes and I was glad I was castrated in December. I had the entire winter to run the heater full blast or throw the windows open. Shifts in fat patterns and weight gain along with reduction in body hair. As far as physical health before castration I was hypertensive and hypoglycemic. Hypoglycemia is a warning of diabetes and today I am diabetic. I do not attribute this to being a eunuch but my lifestyle choices and a very long family history of diabetes. Any of my health issues had a beginning before castration.
I never seem to have that debilitating lack of energy or joint pain that other no T eunuchs report. At 61 I work 3 evenings and 2 night shifts a week and my one full day off I am a caregiver for a client for a homecare agency. My exercise is walking my beagle several times for about 4 hours a day or more accurately following my beagle 4 hours a day. I am not home much and usually to sleep.
As far as mental health as many no T eunuchs have reported a greater range of emotions. At first everything was either happier or sadder and you would laugh more or cry harder. The emotional rollercoaster was interesting at first. It was a while before I settled into the eunuch "calm" which at one time I coined the phrase the eunuch boredom. I am back to calling it the eunuch calm.
One of the interesting aspects of "the change" was oh my I wanted a baby. Not only did I want a baby I wanted to carry a baby. Women I did not know would walk up and hand me their babies to hold. I went to a friends family get together and there were new babies. One would only go to their mother and not too often to their father. The baby girl would not go to their uncles but she put out her hands for me to take her so I did. We bounced around for a few minutes before I turned around and saw the looks on the male family faces and quickly gave the baby back.
As far as spirituality I think that might be gone. I was raised catholic and at one point where I thought castration might make me more passive and accepting I thought it would help with my faith. I actually became more assertive and read between the lines and gave up the church and churches in general. I am now a Humanist and I do good not for the promise of heaven or the punishment of hell but for doing good. Today I find myself quite annoyed by anyone who follows something blindly.
So today I am an overweight contented eunuch that takes no shit from anyone.

Re: HRT FREE... Eunuchs
One thing I did not mention was mental abilities. Soon after castration I was promoted to a management position and did not have problems with the increased level of responsibilities. Now I am in a job where I have to multitask for 8 hours. I also perform audit duties when I work nights. I also deal with all levels of people some who require a great amount of information and others who are very bright and seem to enjoy my banter. I have not felt like I have lost any of my mental skills. A lack of good sleep seems to create more harm in my functioning than anything else.

Thanks Tugon for your reply and wish I had done so well I did pretty good for 1.5 to 2 years but then things started deteriorating. I do work sometimes 36 plus hours straight doing very strenuous physical construction like shoveling and running jackhammer so just want someone considering to be aware of how mileage will vary. I though would remove them again if I got them back I hated them!

I would need T if I was going to do strenuous labor. I can understand the need for HRT to maintain strength. After castration it has been desk jobs for me and that may be why it was easier to do without T.

Re: HRT FREE... Eunuchs
I very much appreciate your openness.
Wow 20 years. My concern physically is weight gain and diabetes. I am in great health and no insulin issues at this point, other than I could drop weight. I have changed a few things in my diet, like reducing my Cosmopolitan fix as a nightly desert marathon and greater exercise, eventually I will find myself back to normal weight. My hope is the weight gain will not affect me much so long as I keep up with my health program. I like to cycle a lot and my balls annoy me much of the time to where it is uncomfortable. I look forward to them being gone for my comfort when cycling.
I look forward to the hair reduction although my underarms do not grow hair, which odd as I have hair everywhere else. Could be genes or low T vs Estrogen levels. I have high estrogen levels naturally now that my testosterone is decreasing.
Wow, you do have an active schedule and helping others. So glad to hear you say, you don’t suffer from the stated side effects. I have low T and high estrogen naturally now and I so much look forward to removing T all together. I will want to stay active and keep my mind for sure. LOL. Don’t know if it is weight distribution, but I already have formed some breast tissue. Tissue of just fat I don't know for sure. Regardless, I do like them. Small and not that notable in public but enough when you squeeze them into cleavage. I like that a lot.
Are you married? Do you have children? As for me, I’m am a 56 years old father of two lovely grown young men now. I have been married to the love of my life for 30 years now and together about 35.
She is the only one that knows my desire to be a eunuch, but she understands and respects my wishes. My wife and I use to be sexual, but not for the last a couple of years. She said herself that she has lost total interest in sex. At first my ego got a hold of me and then I came to my realization and she was right. I had lost much of my interest in sex and it was more about companionship than sexual. Once sexual tension and expectations were removed, we fell back in love for a whole other reason. BFF. Best Friends Forever. I also want to know if I will still be interested in pleasing her when she wishes. I hear about men still being able to get an erection and oral is always easier to perform. So long and I can still please her, I’ll be happy.
Even with low T, I have a vivid sexual mind and have few limits. I’m hoping the total removal of T will help calm my mind and eliminate those thoughts. How was your sex drive and thoughts before and after your castration?
I was born Catholic too and haven’t been practicing since I was young. I’m a spiritual guy, just don’t follow any doctrine. More Taoist, than anything as I do resonate with energy and the natural world.
I don’t want to bore you with so much, so I’ll thank you for your time. I am very appreciative. I look forward to yours and any others not taking HRT reply and hope to see you at the MoM meeting in August.

Hi Sparkey. Thanks for your reply. So you suffered from all those side effects when you were off HRT? What was your reason for castration? Mine is to calm my mind of sexual desires and to remove any aggression. Are you in a relationship? If so, how was it before and now?
I would like to hear from any non or previous non HRT Eunuchs out there that would like to share their story too, so I can learn as much as I can from others like me.

No I have never been married nor in a long term loving relationship. I am 61 and have enjoyed a fatherly relationship young man I worked with who thinks of me as a second father. He actually gave me the name tugon. So in a small way I have felt like a father and of course my other boy in my avatar. My dog and I are both neutered.
As I have found out that I still fantasize about sex and have erotic dreams. Of course not with the same frequency as prior to castration. Having been sexualized in my youth I never had a normal sexual maturation. As I aged I found myself developing a sexual addiction. I always needed bigger thrills and greater risks to satisfy. I still have those negative thoughts and desires but without T I am lacking the drive to fulfill them. I tell others that castration will slow the drive but not fix the brain. For those who want to end all sex drive and thoughts I try to warn them that you may not have total peace from desires. Your brain does not sound like it needs repair and I do think you will continue to have some thoughts. Others claim that they no longer think about sex but due to my addiction or just being a sexual person I still have thoughts and desires. Whatever you choose I wish you the best.

Re: HRT FREE... Eunuchs
I never wanted to go on T but felt it necessary and hope someday when I slow down I can at least greatly reduce if not stop TRT! Everything by no means was bad I loved very low libido and shrinkage of my dick which luckily neither has completely returned to before being castrated! My reason for wanting castration was that I had never liked my genitalia since a kid and was well aware of castration growing up on a ranch. I started banding with the elastrator some as a teen but never left it on long enough to seriously damage them. As for a relationship I am married and next week will be 36 years. Our relationship was good before but is actually better now though. I now am a lot more focused on her and am a lot more focused on her than before and because of this she sometimes says it is like being newlyweds for her.
I didn't want to go on T and am not saying all was bad at all I loved the lower libido and the shrinking of my dick etc and when I am able to slow down I plan to really lower or go off T again. I am married and will have been 36 years next week. My wife and I have as good of a relationship as ever right now!
