I've been depressed perhaps all my life--at least since I was seven-years-old. I never felt that I wasn't sexual during most of my life. However, I really don't know.

I think that I lost testosterone production while I was married. My former wife noticed and complained about my loss of libido after mid-1988. We were together until April 1992. I was not very sexually expressive during that time. However, we had earlier enjoyed a sexually expressive and lusty marriage--I think!

After my wife left, I have been celibate. I didn't really miss eroticism or sexual play until late 1999. I have made out since that time. I have a girlfriend who lives in another state. However, she is a conservative Christian. Our encounters have been rather tame.

According to the test that my physicin gave me in October 2002, I had an extremely low level of testosterone. Even now, the loss seems almost abstract rather than deeply personal.

I'm sorry that I don't know how to answer your question. I have not enjoyed a lover in almost eleven years. What I miss is the total intimacy of a sexual relationship. ❓

I had a girlfriend who was also born yesterday Christian. She wasn't very adventious when it came to eroticism. She wasn't even into flagellation, no matter how many times I tried to explain to her St. Paul's words, "I chastise my body" (I Cor., ix, 27) refers to taking the scourge. Oh well, I don't know what was wrong with her!

Best Wishes,

Leon
