Re: Phantom Testicle Pain
Depending on how you were castrated, especially if it was via scrotal incision, you could be having chord pain. I sometimes get this as well and want to have my chords cut back severely as well as having my scrotum removed. I am coming up on 3 years since castration.

Re: Phantom Testicle Pain
I had the doctor who castrated me pull the cords down before cutting my testicles off. Never did have any phantom pain.

That is how it was done. The pain gets to be relentless with weather changes. It feels a lot like when the boys were getting infections, hurts like all hell!

Maybe if it is that bad you should not ignore it and have a doctor check it out to see if there might be something wrong.

I regularly see an urologist and a pain specialist for the problem. They can't find a definite problem but do agree that it happens and it is very difficult to treat.

As I said in my previous reply, it all depends on how you were castrated, was it through the scrotum or via an inguinal incision. If the surgery was done scrotally, then you may have nerve damage from the surgery, or the chords could have attached themselves to the scrotal wall, which I have heard could cause this type of pain.
Since you have already been castrated, it should be easy to get your urologist to either trim the chords back severely, or to have him/her go in inguinally and remove the chords as would normally be done in an inguinal castration.
My castration was done through the scrotum and the urologist left the right hand chord long, but the left one was cut off much shorter due to there having been a spermatic granuloma in that chord. I get occasional pain in the right chord, but never in the left one, I wish he had cut the right one to the same length as the left one.

Re: Phantom Testicle Pain
The cut was centerline of the scrotum. I had to be re-opened twice. First time was for, what they think it was, a calcified blood clot from ages ago and the second just a huge blood clot.
