Hey changed ISPs. Is there a known problem with the IRC chat room and Century Link? All my other internet services work fine. But, not the IRC. Can't get in via any of my normal methods. Have tried:
1. The website chat room
2. The website chat room Flash Client (and used the shft-f5 and the cntrl-f5 and the f5 to refresh)
3. My IRC client using eamain.hopto.org and port 7000 (which was working).
Booted my computer, tried removing and re-creating the server connection on my IRC client.
Dead, not working.
Not behind a VPN.
Any Ideas would be helpful.
If your username in the room is the same as on the forum - I see that there were much more connection errors from the Century Link than from the other ISP you regularly use.
As far as I have checked - the IPs you used are not in official Russian internet blacklist.
The traceroute back to the IP you used on Century Link ends on this IP/name: 63-235-42-49.dia.static.qwest.net
So - looks like another internet blackhole. I have seen other complaints about similar issues from European IPs too.
I also see a small anomaly on IRC connection count graph at around midnight at GMT from Jan 18th to Jan 19th.
In the end - if it does not work for a longer time - will look into it. If it already does - such is the nature of the internet.
