Republican County Leader Suggests Castrating Transgender People Who Use Womens Bathroom
Saguache County, Colorado, Republican Chair Richard Drake apparently shared a Facebook meme last week depicting a castration device with the statement, Makeem think twice before entering the ladies room. Share if you know what these are used for.
The instrument wraps a rubber band above the testicles, cutting off circulation to them.
This isn't meant as a political post. A lot of transgender people really find this humorous. OK, it pisses us off but it's also funny.

One has to wonder about how often the idea of castration comes up in political discussions? Seems like it's quite often. Must be a latent obsession with it, I think?

We know that guy over in Alabama is. He's introduced the bill to castrate sex offenders eight times and if he got reelected, he'll probably introduce it again for a ninth time.

Re: County Politician Recommends Orchs
Here in beautiful Arizona we have the full range of politics from the People's Republic of Flagstaff to places where you can go to a Republican meeting and guys are dressed like1880s Tombstone or Revolutionary War garb. The amazing thing is that as you grow the state, nothing changes. Incoming liberals know to move to Flagstaff or Tucson and incoming conservative know to move to Mesa or Havasu City and you get even more interesting people out in the desert between those. The point is that on the local level you can get people who are fairly out there whether left or right because of their population base, but those people have difficulty getting elected on the state level because there become to many average and extreme the other way voters for them to win (depending on the quality of their opposition).
The takeaway is always look on the more local level for the ones who will make your day. (We had one who would pipe up with comments like - "Gee, I did not know he was Jewish. He does not have a hooked nose."). Not that you cannot have rarer headline makers on the larger scale, but the local scale is fertile hunting grounds for fun.)
