Web Archive Link for Old or Missing Stories.

Post by Paolo »

https://web.archive.org/web/20100123165 ... a&letter=r

See that "r" at the end? If you change that, you get into Web Archive's save of the EA stories by letter of the author's name.

Change it to a "s", and you get all the old "s" authored stories, etc.

This is a sort by author page.

Now, if you are SURE there's one missing from the new Archive HERE, and you can find it there, feel free to format it and send it in to me.

I'll repost it here.

Include all relevant data, also, such as author, tags, and all that.

I simply have too much going on here to do it myself.

How do we format? How do you need to receive the files?

I found 2 parts of a story I know only one part is posted on the new story archive. I'd like to reunite that single story with the other two.

Open a Word document.

Copy and paste all the text and relevant data into it.

Make sure it's all single spaced, with a double space between paragraphs.

Mail the file to eafictionarchive@gmail.com

Also, please carefully proofread the stories before sending them on to Paolo. Check punctuation, spelling, and story continuity. It doesn't need to be perfect, but the original crew who were transferring stories to the new format finally gave up after having to correct too many of them. They also finally gave up on many of the foreign language stories because accented letters (e.g., á, è, ö, etc.) had been turned into ASCI garbage. Anyone with sufficient knowledge of the various languages is encouraged to help resurrect them.

Send your edited stories to Paolo and they should magically reappear on the new and improved Fiction Archive.

There's a few places on the web that do grammar checks for a writer or in our case, a reviser/reviewer,

Hemingway -- (It likes short declarative sentences in the style of Hemingway) but still good:

http://www.hemingwayapp.com

Grammerly (but this is a pay service)

https://www.grammarly.com

Grammarian

http://linguisoft.com

An online spellcheck:

A whole list of grammar checkers:

I just sent you the 2 missing stories from the Sleepover Series. The only one that made the initial migration was Chris Cuts His Cock Off (Story 2). Sleepover (Story 1) and Lola's Brilliant Idea (Story 3), were missing, and should now be in your queue.

I've also given you all the missing stories from Zoroaster that were missing from the new archive. A total of 7 stories.

OK everyone else, step the heck up. You complain about no new material being added, here is your chance to take your dick out of your hands and help this site. It costs you nothing but a bit of your time. Got a story series you know has missing segments? Got a favorite author you know has stories that were on the old system and have not made it to the new one? Here is your chance to help the moderators here fix that. Step up!

If you want to send these in, please, DO NOT go to the page and copy everything.

If you just hit Control-A, Control-C, as in 'select all' and then 'copy,' once you paste that into a document, it becomes an HTML nightmare of garbage code for me to deal with.

You have to highlight the story text alone, copy that, and paste that as 'plain text' into the new document.

The header info and such needs to be copied and pasted in separately. The document should be preset for single line spacing, and .2" or so for "after paragraph".

When I opened these from Zoroaster up, copied them, then pasted them as plain text into a new document, they still came out triple and even quadruple spaced.

Thanks.
