Anybody successful with a burdizzo?
I'm considering using a burdizzo as a means of castration. I do have someone willing to clamp them shut for me, as its to painful to administer myself. Has anyone been successful using one? It seems as if there are a lot of risks in using one. I was under the impression it was safe. But maybe I'm wrong? I would hate to develop an infection, blood clot, or anything along those lines.

If you are into a lot of pain, and if its not done correctly pain is the only result
burdizzo as a means of castration works but the failure rate is hi with humans.

He is correct, but much of the failure is due to not leaving it clamped long enough. Best to leave it clamped at least 5 minutes. A buddy that had it done said the pain of the cord being crushed was strangely erotic, but the pain of the scrotum was the worst. He said when he has the other one done, he will use something to numb the sack such as an anesthetic cream. Good luck.

Re: Anybody successful with a burdizzo?
You may see some "success" stories here and on other sites and I know of one eunuch maker who seems very capable with them. If it goes wrong or you need further treatment as a result of burdizzo use it can be at best expensive, depending on where you live and insurance cover, at worst it could go badly wrong and potentially kill you. This is not to mention all the investigations it may trigger if you need treatment at all.
It really is a big gamble and pain could be serious enough to induce shock and heart failure if you are prone to problems. If you are on meds for thinning the blood it can cause uncontrolled internal bleeding. Scrotal infection is possible along with infection of the testicle if it does not reabsorb over time. The tissue can become necrotic and infected even internalised. It is also not guaranteed to work no matter how long you stay clamped. The human physiology is different to the animals they are designed for. The chords you are trying to bloodlessly seal of cut are more elastic than the animal equivalent think of the difference between pipe made of tough plastic and very soft rubber. The plastic only deforms so far then ruptures the soft rubber can go thinner than a balloon skin and maintain integrity and heal up after rebounding. Just take care and think rationally and carefully before you do anything driven by fantasy or clips you may see on the net. I am sure that other here with much more knowledge can correct me on a few points but I am also sure the consensus here would be to consider using the Burdizzo a risky and uncertain means of castration.

Re: Anybody successful with a burdizzo?
I was castrated by burdizzo and there are a couple things that are a must, you really need to close the clamp very quickly and you must leave it on for a minimum of 10 minutes.
When I was done I held my spermatic cord so it would not move when the clamp was closed and it was left on for 15 minutes.
the next day my testicles were rock hard and then got real soft and over time they got smaller and smaller until they were gone.

Re: Anybody successful with a burdizzo?
What he means is just that reabsorbed by the body which is how you want it to work. I grew up on a ranch and even on animals occasionally though instead of absorbing the testicles infection can set in instead. From what I understand infection is more common than in other animals due to differences in how the immune system works. When using a burdizzio on cattle infection is very rare but not in humans. When castrating cattle surgically the scrotum is not even sewn up.
