This doesn't have a thing to do with getting our balls and other appendages cut off so I guess this thread belongs here.
I'm not a big stick & ball sports fan and I can't remember the last time I watched a baseball game from start to finish so I qualify as a full blooded fair weather fan. But I spent the 1st 25 years of life on the north side of Chicago so couldn't help getting interested when the Cubs looked like they might be for real after 108 years of "Wait till next year" I watched all of the World Series games but thought it looked bleak and was just a matter of time when they went back to Cleveland needing to win both final games. But the bats came alive and they won Tuesday, tying the series at 3 wins apiece! Yesterday was all anticipation and I couldn't wait for game time. What a roller coaster of emotions that game was! That 10th inning was absolutely agonizing- up until that final throw to 1st base that beat the runner and the sea of blue uniforms flooded the field. MLB had to love it. This series couldn't have been better and had more drama, especially game 7, if it was a scripted screen play. Condolences to Cleveland and their fans. it could have gone either way. How about it? Anyone else out there in EA land share my enthusiasm, or regrets if it didn't end the way you would have liked? How about those of you who are fans of teams that made the playoffs but were eliminated earlier?

Re: World Series! Cubs Win!
I always pay attention to baseball. However, neither Cleveland nor Chicago is my team.
I did watch most of last night's game.
Both teams played very well throughout the series and that was good for the game. Last night was an exciting game.

Re: World Series! Cubs Win!
I'm a Braves fan and we had some great years 1991-2005 or so but we have reverted to a Michael Jackson team (They wear one glove for no apparent reason). I'm really happy for the Cubbies fans and David Ross who was very popular when he was in Atlanta. It was a great World Series and it may rival the 1991 Braves-Twins World Series as the best ever played.

Re: World Series! Cubs Win!
Oh dear God, another suffering Braves fan. Love that Michael Jackson joke. The nice thing this year is I could go down to the 5:30 am old fart coffee klatch at McDonalds and get grins announcing, "How about those Braves?" instead of "How about those Dbacks?"
If you happen to live in Arizona, the Yankee-Dback series after Sept. 11 was also a classic. I kind of felt bad for New York given what had happened, but it was great that Luis Gonzalez won the game. He is just a nice guy.

Re: World Series! Cubs Win!
It was a miracle that the Cubbies actually won a World Series. As punishment, the 2016 Presidential Election was held five days and nights later. Such is life in a Seinfeldian universe...
