Orchietomy 10/21/2016 Mexico/Guadalajara
Dear forum users!
I have finally realized my long-standing wish and fantasy of being castrated. On October 21st, I have had an orchiectomy in Guadalajara/Mexico.
Since about twenty years now, I have pondered the thought of getting castrated.
I would consider myself not necessarily a M2F transgender, but there are elements of that in me, and otherwise I consider myself gender-ignorant, although outwardly I live as male. In addition to that I developped something like a castration fetish. There is also to an extent a body modification or artificiality fetish added to that. I have never had an active sex life, at least not what one would consider typically male.
I have made several attempts to get what I pursued. This includes inquiries to ORR (a pseudo-clinic in Belgium that was closed by authorities in 2007), the contact to a cutter (which seemed too dangerous and dodgy), and more than once injecting alcohol or alcohol/CaCl2 into one testicle and thereby killing it (which was excruciatingly painful). Although, until now I did not have the courage to walk the complete path.
In the beginning of this year, I started a relationship, within which I found the support and encouragement to finally go through with what I had wanted for such a long time. I am really grateful to my girlfriend for her unconfined understanding and unlimited support.
Although, it is more or less impossible to get what I wished, under my personal circumstances, in Germany, my home country. One can of course get a full GRS, but only after proper psychological assessment and a period of living real-life as a female, which I did not want and seek.
With sexchangemexico.com I found a legal opportunity to get what I wanted without the need of any official documents of counseling or else and within the framework of a real medical procedure and with qualified surgeons in a hospital. Everything except for booking the flights was arranged. For the pre-op tests, I went to a German general practitioner, whom I truthfully told what I had planned, and who offered her services after my return, should there be any problems. I also shortly discussed possible conseqences like loss of bone density or depression with her, and will have an according appointment during the next weeks.
On October 19th, I boarded a flight to Guadalajara/Mexico.
As I said, the procedure was done on October 21st, 2016. It was done in an ambulatory fashion with a spinal anesthesy. The approach was a bilateral, inguinal orchiectomy, meaning that on both sides above the penis, well above the scrotum, about 4 cm long cuts were made, through wich the testicles together with epididymis and chords were excised. At the same time, 52*33 mm big silicone implants were inserted through these cuts into the scrotum, to prevent shrinkage of the scrotum for an eventual full GRS procedure later, and as my girlfriend had hinted she found the thought erotic. The inguinal canals were then sewn tighter, so that the otherwise unfastened implants cannot move upwards and leave the scrotum.
The procedure was done by a team of an urologist and a plastic surgeon, together with an anasthaesist, all very nice and understanding people. It took a bit longer than an hour, and I could leave the hospital with the assistance of a nurse provided by secxhangemexico.com and retire to a nearby hotel about three hours later. Pain was low, and of course I was provided with appropriate pain medication by the doctors. There were two aftercare appointments during my stay in Mexico following the surgery.
Now, on Thursday, 27th October, six days after the surgery, I am leaving for the long flight home to Germany.
So far I am doing great, I feel great, some pinching remains, and some bruising, but no pain and no swelling. I am convinced I finally did the right thing.
I will try to, in a sporadic fashion, update the readers of this forum about the further developments and about my feelings.
Should anybody have any personal questions, not to be discussed in this board, feel free to send me a personal mail.
I also want to express my gratitude to the creators, maintainers and users of this forum, which I am following (with interruptions) since eleven years now, who in some way or other helped find my way through life.

That's great.
Can you tell me a bit more about the approach to the Mexican doctors. You said they didn't require official documentation, by which I assume you meant they didn't require therapist letter. But I assume they must have asked some questions. Did you exaggerate your desire for actual full reassignment, or did you simply say you wanted castration and they booked it? Basically wondering what your impression was of whether they would also perform the procedure on obviously non-transgender.
I have looked at their website before, and they mention quite a few prerequisites including review by two therapists, living as a woman for a period of time, being on hormones for a period of time, etc. So I'm a bit surprised you found it easier than Germany unless they don't actually follow their own guidelines...
Also, do you mind sharing the overall costs (minus the travel)?

Actually I do not recall the wording of my primary request to sexchangemexico.com. I wrote them more or less what I stated above (minus the fetish part). I requested if the would do it without tne necessity of a letter of recommendation/therapist review, and they answered that for a sole orchiectomy, that was not needed. I also told them that one of my testicles was atrophied (see above).
The prerequisites on their website are, as far as I know, directed towards full GRS patients.
Just contact them and ask them any questions, including pricing.

Re: Orchietomy 10/21/2016 Mexico/Guadalajara
I would like to give a follow-up on my initial post.
A few words on my decision in favor of sexchangemexico.com.
One reason for my choice was definitely the assertion that medical letters would not be needed. In hindsight, those could have been provided, but that would have complicated and delayed things.
Another reason was the price, at least compared to some other quotes I got from within Europe and North America or found on websites.
Since my time corridor was known a long time in advance, also the moderate climate in Guadalajara at that time was a creiterion.
I had read some horror stories about Thailand and was a bit reluctant to go there, although I had also did some inquiries there.
A short overview over the last four weeks.
During the first 8 days I took painkillers provided by the surgeon. They did a relatively good job, but made me tired and sleepy, so during the week after the surgery in the hotel in Mexico, I was mainly relaxing, sleeping, reading and doing undemanding things on my laptop. I occasionally cooled the groin area with an ice pack. There was some dull ache, more prominent in the evenings, and occasionally some pinching. But nothing unbearable. Swelling was marginal, as far as I can judge. The patches on the cuts came of under the shower after five days.
Before flying home, I did a follow-up check with the plastic surgeon. He cut off a small overhanging piece of (self-dissolving) suture from the cuts and otherwise said that I was looking and healing very well.
I was told not to do heavy lifting for about four weeks, and that proved to be a valuable suggestion.
I went back to work 12 days after the surgery to a (mainly) office job. Healing went on well, although without the painkillers, the dull ache at both sides above the penis (where the chords had been cut off) was noticeable, and it was stronger if I had moved much that day or even had carried around some things like computers. That slowly diminished over the following two weeks.
Hot flashes started about 10-14 days after the surgery. There might have been some before I did not realize as such.
Current status, a month after surgery.
There is no more noteworthy pain, except occasionally for a slight tugging or pinching. The left skin cut scar heals very well, the right one is a bit more prominent, but not irritated. The dissolvable stitches are still there as subsurface knobs.
The hot flashes got more intense, and I also think more often, I would say down to two hours inbetween. During the day, they are not that discomfortable, sometimes hardly noticeable, except when you are already feeling hot before (e.g. sitting in the sun), then they can create spontaneous sweat trickles from the head (I am a head sweater). At night, they can also create sweating, and I regularly wake up to them.
Erections occur much less frequently and are less intense. The reaction of the penis to sexual excitement (I mean to things that easily created an erection before the surgery) is way weaker, short of non-existing. I think erections due to bladder pressure are more seldom, although at least once in the last days I had a full erection like before. I had one spontaneous relese five days after the surgery. I interpret that as occasional necessity of the remaining glands to flush out their contents, and will observe that phenomenon.
I think I need (even more) sleep than before, but since I sleep irregularly and there is also the issue with the hot flashes, that can only be judged after a much longer time of experience.
Psychologically/emotionally I think I am a bit more (or should I say even more) balancend than before. I did not experience any mood swings or depression. Sexually, I am not very interested at the moment, but that also happened before the surgery. Subjectively I feel well and think it was the right thing to do, no regrets at all.
I plan to have an appointment with my general paractitioner to discuss the hot flashes, the risk of osteoporosis and my blood pressure issues, which (subjectively) were not influenced by the orchiectomy. I plan to give another follow-up in some weeks or months.

You should use low amounts of testosterone!
If you have sides from no T. it will take much time to correct it. It's better you build a bridge now from natural T. to TRT now.
Especcialy for a office job it will be good because brain fog from low T. is very bad and you can't do nothing at work so right.
