Alcohol injections after a vasectomy

Over the last 5 months, I've regularly been injecting my right testicle (1.5ml injections of 88% vodka each time) and although it hasn't shrunk in size at all - after all I've read, I was fully expecting it to! - I do seem to be getting results as it is virtually painless to inject it now, I can squeeze it much harder than the other testicle without feeling any pain and there are several hard lumps on the testicle at different points... I think I may have to summon up the courage to go and see my doctor complaining of "pains down there" in the not-too-distant future!

I've always tried to inject into a different area of the testicle each time I do it, being very careful to stay away from the epididymis following advice that I'd read both on EA and in other places. However, I had a vasectomy several years ago, so do I actually need to be so careful not inject into/through the epidiymis?

I'm basically wanting to know the reasons WHY we shouldn't inject into/through the epididymis? Is it because the alcohol could pass through it and into the vas deferens and then cause problems in the ejaculatory duct/prostate/urethra? Or is it because there are nerves attached to it and it will hurt like hell?

Obviously, if it is the first of these then it won't apply to me as my vas deferens are cut and tied... if it's the second, then I'll continue to stay away from the epidiymis!

My understanding is there is a great deal of pain involved with injecting into the epididymis along with the possibility of causing unwanted damage and future difficulties. When I was injected with lidocaine it was initially very unpleasant before becoming numb. --FLO--
