SURAT: A 28-year-old man was bobbitized by his uncle and aunt in Kosad area of city on being caught in compromising condition with the aunt on Sunday night. Police arrested the 52-year-old uncle and his 35-year-old wife on Monday for the alleged crime.

Kiran Devipujak, an autorickshaw driver, was admitted to Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education and Research (SMIMER) after his private part was chopped using knife. Police booked and arrested Devraj Mithapara alias Devipujak, 52, and his wife Surekha, 35, for allegedly chopping private part of Kiran at their residence in EWS colony in Kosad.

Police investigation revealed that Kiran had affair with Surekha, a vegetable vendor, since last few months. They used to meet privately often and were caught in compromising condition at residence of Devraj on Sunday night. Later agitated Devraj, a fruit vendor, attacked Kiran with a knife. To prove her innocence Surekha also joined in attack and the couple boobitised the victim.

Kiran suffered injuries on hand and other parts of body. He was operated upon at SMIMER hospital and was declared out of danger. Doctors at the hospital claimed that the injury is irreversible. "Police have arrested the accused couple and they are being questioned. They used a knife to chop private part of the victim," said HS Purani, police inspector, Amroli police station.
