No, no castration. But circumcision is mentioned. I originally posted this in "Gay Cafe" and it was suggested there that it be over here instead.

P.S. Re: My avitar- that is Moreschi. The pic is at least 100 years old. There is a thread somewhere else about him here. But in short, he is known as "The Last Castrato" and there are several recordings of him (and other eunuchs) singing.
