Road to Bayview by Unknown

Post by Paolo »

I doubt it's the same "Unknown", but it could be one of them! Yes, I respect your wishes when I post such a story submission.

Fans of Atreyu's work will probably enjoy this one.

In some AU, there's a graduated tax rate of some kind (I think) for having boys of pubescent age(s). Families get a tax break for having their younger sons on puberty blockers, and a bigger tax break for having them castrated or nullified. Intact teens can be issued tickets for not wearing chastity devices, and severely punished if caught having heterosexual relations out of wedlock. The town mentioned in the title also allows public nudity - if you like - and even has free clinics offering neutering services.

Twelve year old Garrett, fresh off of his nullification, is dragged off to his mother's boyfriend's summer house on the coast for the summer. His older (intact) teen brother has come along, too. Moody and depressed, the family is worried about Garrett - who seems to think that he might have made a big mistake in having himself nullified. He's also suffering a few side effects of the surgery, and won't let anyone see him naked yet. He doesn't say more than two words at a time, until he meets the "weird kid" next door, almost-eleven year old Peter, who seems to delight in making his mother crazy, and who also has an online porn obsession. Public nudity is optional, so Peter says he's "optioning". He also likes disguises, such as shaving his head and wearing a black half-mask in public. He's also interested in nullification, and keeps telling his mother that he's going to go to the clinic when she's not expecting it.

Peter's sister, Cassie, seems uninterested in Ethan, who can't decide if he's interested in girls or boys or both (namely Garrett), and Mom's boyfriend might seem to have an interest in Garrett as well. Cassie's mother also seems interested in Ethan, as she's a frustrated recent divorcee.

The first chapter covers the boys' arrival in town, and has Garrett wondering if he should try and talk his new friend out of his nullification desires.

While there aren't any sex scenes yet, we can only wait and see.

Part one of Road to Bayview was pure genius. Recently nullified Garrett is coming to grips with what's been done to him. The 12 year old "boy" wonders if he's made a dreadful mistake. This resonates with me and how! I'd be having second thought too if I were in his shoes. In the possible future of Bayview boys who desire castration are required to complete a year long series of tests, intensive counseling, classes, psychological evaluation, and play dates with same age eunuchs before approval for castration is granted.

If, in real life and at age 12, I'd been offered this deal you could bet the rent that I'd have signed up for eunuch evaluation. But I'd only have done so out of curiosity. If I was given approval for nullification I'm 99% sure that I'd have said "no thanks" and walked away with my genitals intact. There's about a one percent chance that I'd have overcome my fear and actually become a nullo just as Garrett did in the story.

Such safe guards would be logical. I don't think anyone, especially not a 12 year old, should rush into castration. But then the story gets sort of weird as we read that in Bayview, a destination easily reached by car, kids of any age at all can be nullified as walk-ins no parents required and no questions asked. Why would any kid who really wants it wait a full year if hitchhiking, or a bus ride, would get him to a place where he could be castrated same day and free of charge?

If Bayview was a reality there would probably be more then a few boys trying to get there. There would also probably be good Samaritans cruising the highways leading to Bayview just hoping to give runaway kids a lift to the castration clinic.

Lets consider the following thought experiment. You are driving to Bayview on some completely innocent "non-castration" business when, 90 miles from your destination, you happen to see two boys ages 10 and 12 hitchhiking to that same town. Do you:

A) Call the cops and report the underage runaways.

B) Just keep driving and forget all about them.

C) Give then a ride to the castration clinic.

This is one that's been abandoned, and that I am taking over when my busy season with work is done.

If I recall correctly, Bayview is in another state where the laws are different. Public nudity is permitted, which isn't 'back home'; another thing that our hero is worried about. It follows that the laws for genital modifications, taxes for remaining intact, etc., would be different also.

I think the 'culture shock' of chapter 2 was the author's way of making Garrett feel as if he'd landed in the Twilight Zone or something?

I was a bit disappointed when Garrett and Peter spent the night sleeping in the same bed. I was hoping that the new eunuch and the young boy on "blockers" that prevented erections would share a very tender and loving but completely nonsexual experience. It would be fine with me to have then both keep their diapers on but just discover the pleasure of cuddling together and holding each other.

👯

I'd like to write a story along similar lines but have it a bit more like the first National Lampoon Vacation movie. 💡 The family (with the youngest son recently nullified) could be driving cross country on their way to "Wally World" or where ever but with all sorts of stops and misadventures along the way. 😄

I'd also like to use elements of Peter's personality but in an entirely new character. Perhaps the "new" Peter could be a musical prodigy and squeaky clean famous boy singer along the lines of a young Billy Gilman or Aaron Carter. :headphone But board with his apple-pie image he decides to reinvent himself and creates a new style of music sort of like a hard core punk rock look but where nullification is a central element. He could have a black and red bandana covering the top half of his shaved head with eyeholes cut in it to make it a mask. He could have a black leather and silver bondage inspired collar with matching wrist and ankle cuffs and satanic tattoos. 👹 He could be planning on forming a rock n' roll band sort of like KISS but for tween nullos and they could preform with their empty crotches completely exposed.

Wow, I'm sounding like a complete lunatic. :nutsycuck

Well, as it is abandoned and I've made plans to continue it when I get time, you could feel free to collab with me if you like.

A collaboration sounds like a nice idea. However rather than picking up an old story line I've made a fresh start with a new story called "Road to Wally World." I'll see about getting you a copy for your consideration.

Hi again Paolo

I've written 4000+ words of "Wally World" but it might take me a day or two to get it to you. I wrote it on a MAC in Pages and now I'm on a PC that won't open it. Wouldn't ya know!

Use PAGES to export to either WORD format or Plain Text format. It's under the "file" menu.

When I bought this MacBook, I discovered that the new version of PAGES didn't have the option to Export to RTF formats, so I had the Apple Shop load PAGES version 9 and when I need an RTF format (which is what I have to use when I submit short stories to publications) then I do a two step -- Export to Pages9 and then to RTF.

However, many editors now accept a WORD format and I have exported from PAGES to WORD format and that has worked.

A second method would be to do a "select all" and "copy" from the pages document and open your MacBook's TEXTEDIT program and PASTE the text into a new document. That saves in RTF Format and is universally read by word processors. That also preserves the formatting.

Hi Paolo

I have the problem licked. Or at least I think I do! I sent you Road to Wally World as a PM. Actually I sent two PMs. The system said it was too long for one so I had to break it down into two parts.

If you like it as is I'd be thrilled if you posted it. If you want changes, or to do a collaboration, that would be great too just so long as I get top billing!

Atreyu 🙏
