What happened to the old stories on the site?

What happened?

Where they deleted? Where they saved some where else?

The site was hacked a few time, we had some issues with the way the stories were on the server, and they had to be removed and moved to a new server.

This was quite some time ago.

About 75% of the Fiction Archive was restored. Most of what was left was such a mess from the old encoding system, that they couldn't be saved. Some weren't worth saving, as it used to be the policy to post anything (regardless of quality) that came in.

Stories can now be found at www.eunuchworld.org which uses the same login as this forum.

Dear Paolo,

Can you please remove the /Stories section from robots.txt there are some stories we cannot find in the new archive that we can find from the archive.org ?

I'm pretty sure not all the old stories got saved. I mostly come here to read the forum and read stories, so never really post.
