Haunting by Departed Pets

Post by moi621 (imported) »

Has anyone else had experience with a departed pet

haunting "home".

An Abyssinian cat I had years ago use to enjoy a guest's leg,

sitting on it like a great cat straddling a tree branch, with her

chest against the guest's leg and her front paws hanging down

on each side.

After she passed, a guest would occasionally startle and claim

they just felt the Abby jump on their leg.

My 🐈 brothers passed March & November 2015 at the age of 17.

And they haunt big time !

I have heard of cat hauntings, but never a dog.

Do dogs haunt their old home or just go to that big farm in the sky?

Has anyone else experienced ghosts of their departed pets?

I thought the ghost of Riverwind was haunting your home?

Not me.

I have memories but not hauntings.

From what I have heard, it isn't that unusual with cats.

And I remember YOU are not a cat person.

When other people experience the haunting, "I just felt the cat jump on my leg"

and we were not even discussing anything about any cat

I do believe in ghosts.

Don't you?

I have no personal evidence or experience that makes me believe in ghosts.

I won't deny that they exist. I won't deny other peoples experiences. However, I don't believe in them.

I think those dearly departed pets transmigrate into another type of pet or even a human or alien being that wants to step into your life.

Does anyone here, "believe in ghosts".

Not malevolent thingies out to get'ya.

Just ghosts, most are benign.

My experience is less that a dog will jump on you and more than they will be close or sleep back-to-back. That lends itself less to a physical sensation and more of an emotional sensation. Out of the blue, I still have feelings of a) love or b) sadness which I think are related to my great companion from the 1980s. The problem is that I honestly cannot say those are a 'ghost.' They might just as well be something in my mind.

Did anyone else see that? It was a strange presence... almost as if someone who has been banned in the past is back among us.

Creepy.

From across the street and up at my neighbor's front door which is about 2000 (yes 2000) feet away from my house.

Without binoculars
