SSRI instead of HRT

Oh, I don' have now the ability to orgasm... wow, and that with only 20mg/day Fluoxetine.

I was tying it yesterday longer then one hour and have given up.

I hope over the time it will be also decrease the urges to masterbate!

Uaaah, very extreme headache yesterday and today. I'll cut the dose down to 10mg for the first time and hope it will be better.

The sides are very ugly and I think I will stop it.

But nice effect is lowered libido and no orgasm possible, also if I try it 3x per day 1 hour, nothing. Wow!

Sorry to hear about the bad side effects jojo25jj. Think you might try a different SSRI or are you done for now?

Hmm, today it is all better and I'll use a lower dose. What I've read, the bad sides lasting only any days and I hope it's true.

Now I'll use 5mg two times per day.

But generally today it is a bit better but also the libido is a bit more increased and at night I was heavy excited .

I'm still feeling great on the Lexapro about 10 weeks in. Haven't had any negative side effects at all. Well, except for sexual performance, but that's as much from low T as it is from the SSRI.

Made it a little over a month with no HRT but finally decided to do a pump of Axiron today. Was feeling pretty lethargic and depressed and didn't want to spend the whole weekend feeling that way. I really think the Lexapro helped a lot with the low T issues, but I don't think it can completely replace HRT. My plan at this point is to see how little T I can realistically get by on. I'll probably do one pump every other day and adjust as needed (doc wants me doing 4 pumps a day).

No HRT has also other bad issues. I'm not shure, you can cover it with lexapro.

Do you have think about a small dose Deca? It replaces testo very good on several places in the body but has no the ability to increase libido and genital function.

It is also in any cases officially suggested for HRT, as far I have read. Ask your doc about it!

I'm on 10mg fluoxetine now and have no sides anymore.

My libido is cut down and I'm feeling exreme cuddly with my wife and have no big urge to do more.

I have also my head free from sex and masturbation urges over the day.

Really nice effect, I'm really hoping it will be so over the time!

I think I'll just stay with low dose TRT for now. I need a bit of libido on occasion for my wife's benefit. I've contemplated going back on low dose estrogen, but want to see if very low dose T would work for me (now I'm thinking about doing just one or two pumps a week and seeing if that would be sufficient).
