In the last few days there has been yet another post about the possible use of a cutter to become castrated, though this warning is flogging a long deceased equine the following link should give pause to anyone thinking of using the services of a cutter:

Re: Cutters
I used a cutter for my own castration. I discourage their use, however at the time (2005) there were not any viable options other than an osteopath that was well past his prime, or hopping on a plane to Thailand at considerable expense. I would have used a legitimate surgeon had one been available, as evidenced last year when I completed my nullification using such services.
My point is that there are a few cutters who can do this safely, but at the same time I also caution against their use as the possibility of something going wrong exists, and being in a legitimate surgical environment will provide opportunity for the best outcome.

Losethem, I agree with you completely. Certainly not the best way but for many of us the only option at the time. Even though my castration went well with no medical follow up needed I probably had an extended period of anxiety thinking something could go wrong. I would have preferred to have had them removed by a urologist but I was desperate as my behaviors were becoming more dangerous. I had to weigh the risks and a hotel room castration, at the time, had the least risk.

Re: Cutters
At the end, my point is legitimate help is available now that wasn't available years ago when you and I were castrated. The evidence this is the case is there are very few cutters anymore, and people are still parting ways with their testicles. I think that is a great thing... cutters going out of business, even if I did use one for my testicles. The guys coming to this now have it easy compared to what was available when you and I did it.

Re: Cutters
Just so.
Don't use a cutter. Lots of reasons, and read them here.....
Good help is available from professionals now. -Much safer, better and in case anything doesn't go exactly as planned, help is available.
