estradiol (in the enough dosage) can rise your libido. Many trans MtF experience good state of libido, including erections in some of them, even post-orchi. Others trans experience low libido and lack of erections. also depending the dosage, the dosage for treating post-menopausal women seems do not increase enough the libido, but I´ve heard that some women improve their libido on HRT. Seems that YMMV again.Personally when I was self-medicate with antiandrogens and oestradiol injections the few days next to my injections I feel my libido rising and tend to masturbate
which I did not desire. Now I´ve found an endocrynologyst, I hope he can give me the apropiate E dosage to my specific case

It's only been six weeks since my orchiectomy and I've only been on estradiol for four days. I'll let you know in a month or so.

My t is low and I take 20-30mg/week of estradiol valerate on a cycle. My libido is definitely enhanced by E and my libido crashes if I forget my injection for a few days. You can play with dosages and find what is comfortable for you. If you only take 2-4 mg/day by mouth, you may not have much libido.
I don't have spontaneous erections but it still works ok with proper stimulation and a little work. Libido is different though and not the strong urge to penetrate someone. It's hard to explain.

You do need both Estrogen and Testosterone to have a Sex Drive. When I did take some estrogen I was hornier.

I have recent experience with both low dose estrogen and low dose TRT and would say that while both increased my sex drive, the increase on estrogen was milder than while on testosterone.

I say this as someone who is not transgender yet takes estrogen - if you do low dosage, odds are you will not experience all that much of an increase in sex drive. Especially with oral meds. When I'm on 4mg/day of oral estradiol valerate I have basically a dead sex drive, and that's not even a low dosage. When I'm doing injections the sex drive is definitely present during the days immediately after the injection, and it weakens through the week until my next injection. Either way, it's still extremely easy to ignore the estrogen-induced sex drive compared to what goes on when you've got testosterone in your system. Getting rid of desires is about as easy as snapping my fingers. Odds are you'll be able to ignore your sex drive no problem and you certainly won't have your head filled with lewd thoughts and desires like on testosterone.
The trans girls here might not like the libido boost that one gets from estrogen, understandably, but I think it's still much lighter than the sex drive given by testosterone. I still can't get as aroused as I did before, I often can't even orgasm. I still don't get random erections or morning wood. YMMV but odds are you'd find the libido boost from

My t is
Wow I only do like 10mg per week and even that feels a bit strong and rollercoastery at times.
