Yea, OP is long gone. But I've had similar experiences. There is some dopamine depletion that might lessen joy in your life. Also I became much more emotional. Crying watching movies became normal

Also, initially I felt loss of motivation to do anything, but over time I learned to motivate myself. I did not have any depression, despite the most difficult times were 0,5-1,5 month into castration. And I became very productive because I did not spend huge amounts of my sparetime to porn and masturbation. But then again I felt exhausted quite often, and that reduced my efficiency somewhat. But yea, that clean mind, concentrated only on enjoyable work and result was a joy! I realy liked that I wasn't distracted with sex realted thoughts.

The two important things to remember are:

1. That the results after castration are HUGELY variable, and may only partly relate to the reasons for getting in the first place. Your Mileage WILL vary!

2. If you have any doubts about it, DON'T!

There are definitely some side effects for me (no HRT). Fatigue, hot flashes, memory isn't as sharp, blood sugar spiked, perhaps also affects my teeth. On the other hand it hasn't affected my performance in sports and, yes, it really shuts down the libido. Still working on managing the side effects. Overall, I'm happy I did it.
