Are you still on 100 mg of cyproterone? How long have you been taking both Androcur and Triporeline? surprised at your results thusfar

Only a few weeks after the triptoreline injection. The first three weeks my doctor suggested it because otherwise the testosterone level could rise again but I also took it some weeks further. But no effect on erection capability. I get no spontaneous erections but with manipulation I am able to get normal erections.

You may be part of the 5-10 percent of the male population that is not effected by the drugs. If you check all the studies they never say 100% can expect this symptom. There is also the possibility that at some point your testosterone will go to zero and you will lose all your sexual function. There are full castrated males that can still function with erections and orgasms. probably not many but some.

Can you ejaculate? any fluid? is it getting any more difficult to have an erection? have you stopped Androcur yet?

Very little fluid. I have stopped androcur weeks ago.

Your situation may be similar to some who are physically castrated and yet are able to fuction for many years after while most lose the sexual function several weeks after castration.

Not much effort. Onlly little manipulation neccessary.

Not really... Takes a while longer than normal and the orgasm is weaker but its possible.

aspie_nico, count your blessings that you can still enjoy sexual activity. Take advantage of it while it lasts. If injections of triptoreline are continued, things may change unexpectedly for you. it may happen very gradually, or not at all.

I also hate sexuality. My sexuality was considered normal, but as I could never find a partner it was a real tormentation. I'm not taking Triptorelin at the moment, but plan to return to it in the autumn, if I have enough financial resources.

I am just starting on a trial of chemical castration (using degarelix -- much more expensive but reportedly safer and with fewer side effects than cyproterone). The one reported side effect that I am concerned about is fatigue. I am still working, and really bad fatigue would be a significant problem. How bad has the problem of fatigue been for others? Are there effective ways to reduce this side effect? As I understand it, this "side effect" is actually the consequence of the "main effect" --

shutting down testosterone production.

So I'd be interested in the experience of any of you using any method of chemical castration. AKLurker.

Not much fatigue from triptoreline alone. I am taking many other meds that are making me tired.
