NEWS 4 – A gruesome scene unfolded in a Fayetteville, North Carolina neighborhood after a convicted child molester kidnapped a 19-year-old woman and took her back to his home and assaulted her. Kimberly Walt was walking home from her friends house on Sunday afternoon when she says she was approached by Robert Williams, a three-time convicted felon. Williams asked her if she wanted a ride to where ever she was going, Walt replied “No thank you.” That’s when she said Williams drove off, but when she turned the corner he jumped out of the bushes, grabbed her and threw her in his car.

Williams took Walt to his home where he proceeded to assault her for several hours. According to police reports, Williams fell asleep after drinking massive amounts of alcohol and Walt was able to untie herself. She then approached Williams, tied him up, and in a bit of rage, grabbed a knife and “castrated him.” Walt stated that he woke up screaming and yelling, as she walked over with his “parts” and toss them in the microwave. “I threw that bastards junk in the microwave, grab the plate, fork and a steak knife and cut it up like hot dogs,” said Walt and a recorded statement. “I grabbed a gun that he had left on the kitchen counter, walked over to him, and forced him to eat it. I have no remorse and I am not sorry. That bastard deserved it and he’s going to hell.”

According to Williams statement, he said he was afraid to die and complied with Walt’s “morbidly disgusting request.” Williams was transported to a local hospital, bandaged up, and booked into the Fayetteville County Jail. Due to the circumstances, Walt will not be charged with any crime. Some are even calling her a hero. “Now we don’t have to worry about that pervert doing this to anyone else,” said Donna who lives in the neighborhood. “If we castrated every child molester, we would never have this problem.”

While the woman was just, somewhat anyway, in this situation, I can't condone mutilation of even the worst people for crimes, because there is always a chance they didn't commit those crimes. Obviously in this situation, we can be sure of guilt, at least if you believe the woman's side of the story.

But castration doesn't deter criminals from acting on their urges to rape, it just enforces the need to tie the knot tighter, and kill their victims afterwords. Harsh punishment has zero effect as a deterrent against crime.

Still, the guy won't be raping anyone anytime soon.

I do believe that castration can and does and will reduce the male sex drive, it reduced mine and others on this site will tell you it reduced their sex drive. In fact, physical castration causes mental castration. Mental, in that the mind cannot maintain sexual thoughts, sexuality loses it's cohesion in the mind. Even when you want to think about sex or the sex act, you cannot, not without a fair amount of testosterone. I only use a small amount of testosterone, my latest blood test proved it was low, 136 compared to a normal 500-1000 for intact men. When castrated, testosterone plummets and erections will eventually subside or decrease substantially. So unless a sex offender is able to add back testosterone into his body (which I believe some are able to do), he will at the very least become sexually impotent. Yes, I know it varies from one person to the next, however, generally speaking this is the rule. You need testosterone in your body to maintain sexual adequacy and testosterone is also necessary to maintain sexual thoughts. Generally those with low testosterone are not "as" preoccupied by sexual thoughts. However, in the case of sexual offenders, there is more going on than sex. The mind has been tortured and has been allowed to cross the boundary of morality, therefore the "mind" which some call the largest sex organ, must be tamed along with the reduction of testosterone in order for the sexual offender to become impotent and less likely to offend. My two cents, carpe diem.

P.S. I'm glad for her. Had he simply been thrown into prison she would never have been able to fully vent and emotionally restore her sanity. She acted viscerally, it was harsh, but he hurt her, he violated her, he ruined her and would have destroyed her mentally and emotionally for years to come if he had just been placed in prison. Her ability to get back at him satisfied an internal desire that will help her live through the violence she suffered. Good for Kim.
