Latest urologist visit

Post by Hopeful1 (imported) »

I said last year, I wasn't happy with my urologist after my first visit. Since then, I've been more and more impressed each time and especially with yesterday's visit. I understand he's being a little cautious but yesterday he told me he has received the letter from my therapist recommending an orchietomy so we will be proceeding. What really impressed me was when I told him I had been in contact with Dr. Christine McGinn's office and they recommended a lateral incision when looking at Gender Confirming Surgery in the future. He thought for a second and then said," I can see why they would recommend that to preserve the centerline." I told him in the e-mail from Dr. McGinn's PA, they wanted him to call their office and he said he would do that. He then gave me his personal e-mail address to forward the e-mail from Dr. McGinn. Needless to say, that amazed me. But then he was amazed or maybe shocked when I told him what GCS costs in the U.S. nowdays.

I meant to add, he's still not using anything transgender as the reason for the orchiectomy. The reason for medicare/supplemental insurance purposes will be severe chronic orchalgia/epididymitis left side and cryptorchidism right side.

Congratulations on finding a urologist to work with you.
