One month update:
(I haven't updated earlier, because there really wasn't much to report. However, I've continued to take 2 caps per day since my last post.)
Well, the SP has definitely had an effect. Not a big effect admittedly, but I have noticed some differences. My skin seems softer, and body hair seems thinner and not growing as fast. I never had much body hair to begin with, but my legs seems to be noticeably smoother. I had the hair lasered from my upper body, so there's nothing to compare there, though the skin on my arms seems a bit softer too.
I have also noticed what I think others have referred to as numbness in the penis. I wouldn't call it that though. What I notice is that it no longer feels like a penis. It just feels like a generic body part. It's not numb, but there's no erogenous feeling to it either. In the past, general handling of it would cause at least mild erotic sensations. After being on SP for a while, it requires a lot of manipulation to get any hint of sexual sensation or arousal.
Now here's something interesting. I finished off my first bottle of SP about 4 days ago, and started on the next one. The gel caps are a different size and shape, suggesting that the store is now getting them from a different source. My impression is that these are not as potent as the previous batch. In just a couple of days, it seems like I've slipped back to how things used to be, morning erections, etc. So today, I've decided to increase the dosage slightly, from 2/day to 3/day, and I'll see what happens.
I've started on Saw Palmetto

Apparently, Spring Valley brand is a joke. It's doing nothing for me at all.

Re: I've started on Saw Palmetto
You should use the extract!
There is around 2500mg fruit extracted per capsule. With the low dose which you are using is the effect also extreme minimal, but it seems it also to have an effect on you.
(ah, I have wrong read, you are already using extract)
I'm also back on SP now and this 2nd try is very different from my first and I can say, extreme better!
On my first try erections wasnt possible so good and only very short.
But now how you say, feeling is different, more like a normal bodypart and it takes a while to stimulate an erection BUT then the erections are extreme hard and the feeling is powerful and to cum is easy and intensive.
Its perfect, I'm not thinking about sex over the day but if I need the sex is great!
I hope, it will go on with this very good effects!
I've no sides, no brain fog or other things. It's the opposite at time, I'm very healthy!
I cant take the normal fruit powder capsules because they make me ill. But the extract capsules has no negative effects on me, also on stomach and so on.

I think this is the biggest problem with so-called herbal medicines. There doesn't seem to be any consistency in the strength of the drug.
If the manufacturer knows what the active chemical is in the plant extract, then they can make sure that it stays at the same strength in all of the different batches they produce. But if there's been no research into what is the actual active ingredient (or ingredients) then there's no way to maintain consistency. Like most plants, the various growing conditions (rain, temperature, sunshine, soil nutrients) can make huge differences in the potency.
Update:
I indicated in my last post that the new bottle of SP didn't seem as potent as the old one, and I decided to up the dosage to 3 caps/day from 2 caps/day. I did that for a couple of days, but then decided to go back to 2 caps/day. The reason being: it seemed a bit too soon to make a judgement call. I'd been eating a bit more red meat than normal those days too, and that may have contributed an adverse effect. I'll see how things go over the next few days.

Re: I've started on Saw Palmetto
I mention
My bottle of ineffective SP has a phone number to call for customer inquiries. I'm thinking of phoning them and asking whether they test random samples of their products to ensure that they really are what their supplier is claiming.
BTW:
I just checked out Vitex on Wikipedia. I don't know if it's a available around here. I don't recall seeing it.
to be working, even though it was the same store brand (though very likely from a different source). Finally, after a week of taking them, I switched to a different brand (Walmart's store brand), and within a couple of days I noticed a difference again. So, it appears that there's no guarantee of consistency. What is interesting here is that I've found that it only takes a couple of days to notice a difference (for me anyway). So, it appears that SP, when it's up to spec, has a fairly fast effect on reducing DHT. I had noticed this when I first started taking it over a month ago, but I was reluctant to say this, because I've heard so many comments claiming that there would be no noticeable difference for a month. I now believe that this may be a primary difference between drugs that lower testosterone, and drugs that lower DHT. The testosterone lowering drugs probably do take a month to have a noticeable effect, but I believe that the DHT lowering drugs have a much more immediate effect. So, if you take it for a week and don't notice anything then it's likely a bad batch.Nonads_85 (imported) wrote: Wed Mar 09, 2016 1:24 am ed in my last post that the new bottle of SP didn't seem
