I had a crisis with my computer and took it to BestBuy. Instead of leaving it for a couple of days, they offered the option of paying for a year's servicing and getting an online tech to help me resolve the issues quicker and at home. I took them up. Ultimately I had to go up a level of technician, but they did get my computer usable again.
They did make a pitch for protection software called Webroot. I took them up. I do have Malwarebytes anti-malaware and Spybot. The thing I noticed with Malware is that it showed when my computer was getting pinged. A flurry of those is what led to the problem which led to BestBuy, so Malwarebytes is not perfect. Anyway, Webroot has shown no infections since I got it. Malwarebytes and Microsoft scans have also shown no infections, which is rare. I also do not see the little Malwarebytes box in the corner of the screen showing incoming pings. In addition, I have noticed a lot less junk email since putting on Webroot.
Thought I would pass this on.

Re: Webroot
I've been using Webroot for several years. My sister-in-law is a computer tech for the Army and she swears by Webroot. The only complaint I have with it is it seems to slow my computer down some.
Re: Webroot
Wonder how it'd react to 3 video cards, 16 GIG RAM, 6 CPU's, and 4 hard drives?
