Going without testosterone
Any castrated men not on testosterone (but still identify as male)?
I'm going for chemical castration as a "test run", but I'd love to hear from others about how the lack of testosterone worked for them. How long did it take to adjust and are you happy with not doing HRT?

Re: Going without testosterone
Welcome!
Although I don´t identified myself as a male, I´m a MtF, I woud like to take part. Many of those on total androgen deprivation need some kind of HRT, however I´ve read in this forum a few cases who don´t take IT . In my case when I was off oestrogen simply I felt like a shit and I cant wait longer for my next E injection.

I was castrated 12/06/97 and have never used HRT. I present as male but do not identify as male. A long time without T and I find I am happy as a third gender.

Was the sudden lack of T hard to deal with, Tugon? I'm a bit worried about adjustment time...

Re: Going without testosterone
For me the biggest issue was hot flashes and night sweats which were unbelievably bad for the first few months. I basically had to sleep almost naked with only a sheet covering me last winter. I couldn't get much sleep because I was either burning up or freezing. It took around six months for the night sweats to become bearable.

I was castrated long before I had a computer or knew of the Eunuch Archive. I really did not know what to expect. I was castrated and then the adventure began. The roller coaster ride eventually smoothed out to life as it is today.

Re: Going without testosterone
That's was the idea of being castaerted , i tried it for about 6 months i did enjoy the way i felt, but the hot flashes, night sweats and the body losing strength was a huge concern for me at work (working in the construction industry ) i feel how much muscle and strength i have lost.
If i had a job where that doesn't matter i would go hrt free, the only reason why i had them removed is to be free from it
