The women in the audience like it. Quote from the woman when asked why she did it (it was revenge for cheating): "every time he goes to the bathroom he'll remember me".

Re: Jerry Springer episode about woman who bit her husbands testicle
Something just seems odd about this one.
Maybe it is the guy's laid back attitude, "I messed up. I learned my lesson and it is not going to happen again."
Maybe it is that nothing was said about the law. I would have thought that if I cut off somebody's legs I would be in deep doodoo no matter if the person gave forgiveness or not, what with abuse laws and all. Maybe I am wrong.

Well Jerry Springer should always be viewed suspiciously, but the other link I posted recently on his show about guy who cut off his own penis, that was a well documented case in the news.
Back to this case, many places have laws that protect the identity of those who are victims of sexual crimes. So I think it is likely that there wasn't news about it because they probably put the privacy in place. Of course later they decide to go on Jerry Springer about it so privacy doesn't seem to be their greatest concern, but anyway that is one possible reason why that case wasn't well known. Also, these episodes are pretty old. We forget that 20 years ago not everything made it to the Internet, or at least isn't all available to simple Google searches today.

I agree about Jerry Springer being pure entertainment. Bring your beads and let the good times roll! Best when the bouncers have to intervene. Who knows how reality based it all is. But the episode still struck me as a bit strange.
