Is one's insurance going to cover one's HRT if one *voluntarily* got castrated?

Get paid for his work?

No can do. :)

PS, telling your insurance company BEFORE you do it, is inviting your worst fears about their covering HRT to come true. Just don't tell them how you came to be without balls. Easy really.

OK. :)

You're over thinking this. I have nothing else to add.

Exactly how long does this last, though?

Oh dear God! You are really milking this thread.

The $5 per week, out of pocket (not including Dr. cost) is for that 10ml vial. If you get insurance to cover it, the cost will be about $1-2 per week. If you can't afford that, you must be living in a van down by the river.

I've heard estimates elsewhere that I math out to $55 a year after insurance. (Bottle costs $x, lasts for 3 weeks, a year of syringes costs $y, long division gives $55)

It's the cheapest treatment option for my chronic pain; assuming one round of the expensive surgeries goes right, the ongoing maintenance costs of castration and expensive surgery reach a break-even point at around my 132nd birthday.

So, it's good to have a second data point.

Actually…

Anyone on HRT, could you post your cost per consumable? Round to the nearest dollar for testosterone, or your hormone cocktail of choice, and how long it lasts you, plus syringes and how long they last. My gut check said that $55/year is probably really low, and if I'm a cost-sensitive pain patient, odds are there will be others. (If you're one in a million, there's about 7,000 more people just like you!)
