I'm not going to go back and listen to Negan's monologue or count positions and make diagrams. I'll wait until next year and find out.

Now, I know his "rule" is usually to "kill" someone in a new group, just to make a point. And I know he was particularly angry with Rick for killing so many Saviors. But he also said he needs the Alexandrians alive so they can work for him.

Regardless, my point is moot. I heard what Hardwick, Kirkman and the executive producer said, so I know someone dies by Lucille. But who? I'm sure I would guess wrong, so I won't bother.

All I will say about the finale is this: I have never seen Rick Grimes look more terrified than he did on his knees in front of Negan. Kudos to Andrew Lincoln.

I think this is a reset of the entire show.

And the survivors we've known so long worked hard to get that scene. There are too many TV shows I see with a horrid or scary scene like that where the actors do not show the proper body attitude or facial expressions.

Right about that. Rick looked like he was going to crap in his pants. My theory is based on this. When the first blow was struck, the camera view showed the survivor who was hit raised his/her head up and looked at Negan again. The one person who showed defiance to Negan and raised up to look at him was Abraham. I'm sure I'm wrong but that's my theory.

Nothin' wrong with that theory. You have a good premise.

My question is this: Could the victim be a woman? Would "The Walking Dead" allow one of its female characters to be beaten to death on TV? Carol getting shot in the arm and leg is one thing. Beth getting shot in the head is another. But a violent death-beating by Negan? Surely this fate could not be in store for a pregnant Maggie. Would they do that to Sonequa Martin-Green's character? Or Christian Serratos' character?
