Re: The Walking Dead -- season 6
I'm pretty up to date with the zombie appocolypse thing.
Just started season 6 post winter break.
I,m starting to work out the odds of the newly discovered group (Jesus and the like) making it to the end of this season.
Also some of the Zombies just aren't trying.
Okay some scenes may require several takes but some of the "Un-dead" seem to be strolling as if nothing is wrong with them.
One day they will wise up and go and find a nice small tropical island to go and live on but in the meantime I'm enjoying it.

This episode is the main reason. There's not many shows that do true dramatic writing and put it on the screen. This episode is like one of those tight, three person stage plays that everybody wants sees. The real truth is that without the zombie apocalypse, these three women -- Paula, Carol, Maggie would be trading cute cat videos in there emails or facebooks. But this is the zombie apocalypse and they are here, damaged, desperately trying to stay alive, with the world in ruins around them.
Who are the walking dead? The zombies? The humans struggling to survive? Or the rest of us -- the reader who might still be trading kitty-cat videos and puppy videos, and silliness online?
This was an excellent episode. I have to admit one reason I watch the show (besides the fact it's damn good) is the locations. For instance when Abraham was on that bridge smoking the cigar and where he found the RPG, I had driven across the bridge four days before the episode. So it's fun to see places you know, some you've known most of your life, on TV.
I was having a conversation with my niece a few months ago about the show and she said she didn't like zombie shows. I explained that, to me, the walking dead were not the zombies but the people who hadn't died...yet.

you're right, they would definitely be trading cute cat videos, well, maybe not carol cause she'd still be under her husband ed's thumb. but the reason i'm drawn to this show (actually, the comics first) is that it could be any end of the world scenario and this is one of the most likely tellings i've ever seen of true survivors in a lost world. do what you must but try to hold on to your humanity. the zombies are a manageable threat, it's the other humans who are the monsters. as for who the walking dead refers to i tend to believe it's the surviving humans.

SEASON 6, EPISODE 14:
And yes, as noted in another thread -- Eugene bites a guy's dick real hard to save himself and some others.

Re: The Walking Dead -- season 6
Season 6, episode 15:
The next to last episode that has lots and lots of drama and is setting up the climactic episode of the season.
After teasing that "Negan" (that's a name of a bad guy and is pronounced "Knee-gun", accent on the first syllable) for almost the entire season. He will appear in the last and climactic episode next week.
In the graphic novel, Negan kills one of the regulars in a most vicious and brutal fashion.
However, the TV show has been known to change the story because Robert Kirkman (the writer) can think of new dramatic lines.
Whoever it is, someone is going to die horribly.

Local reports are saying Norman Reedus wants off the show. And he has said, "Be very afraid for Daryl."

The Graphic Novel scene that introduced Negan had him standing over Glenn who was on his knees and begging for his life pathetically and using the bat to kill him. Another portion of the story in the graphic novel had Maggie dying. A third part of the story was Daryl's (Norman Reedus) death. Later in the graphic novel there is a storyline where Rick dies but that will never be on TV.
Robert Kirkman has created new storylines from the graphic novels. This isn't like Game of Thrones where the story is being written into books.
As it stand snow, twitter and the internet will light up in screams of horrified Norman Reedus fans if he is the one to die.

Kirkman said on The Talking Dead there were clues in the last few minutes as to who it was. I have a theory but I don't know how valid it really is.

I was surprised by the Talking Dead revelation that Negan does, in fact, kill one of the characters, because he doesn't say he's going to do that. He says something to the effect of, "I'm gonna beat the hell outta one of you."
Now, I know his "rule" is usually to "kill" someone in a new group, just to make a point. And I know he was particularly angry with Rick for killing so many Saviors. But he also said he needs the Alexandrians alive so they can work for him.
Regardless, my point is moot. I heard what Hardwick, Kirkman and the executive producer said, so I know someone dies by Lucille. But who? I'm sure I would guess wrong, so I won't bother.
All I will say about the finale is this: I have never seen Rick Grimes look more terrified than he did on his knees in front of Negan. Kudos to Andrew Lincoln.
