I've avoided AHS for a few years but with nothing on the TV tonight but Politics.

So AMERICAN HORROR STORY was given the test run.

creepy!

Kathy Bates is creepy as the desk clerk with a penchant for odd smoothies.

Lady Gaga and Matt Bomer like you've never dreamed about them as a pair (hint, the movie in the park is Nosferatu). . .

Housekeeping can clean up anything, BTW.

A rather horrific murder. Eyes and tongue and (OMG that twist is really yucky!) superglue.

A demon rape (be prepared for that sequence)

and lots of blood.

Buckets of blood.

Not for the kiddies. NSFW. Not Safe if gushing blood makes you ill. Not for the queasy.

The original AHS was great.

Coven was cute, but not great.

All others "suck".

AHS Hotel was a disappointment.

too much gratuitous blood, no story.

I agree that the first season of AHS was great. That's because it was fresh. We really hadn't seen anything quite as bizarre.

I watched Season 2, with the nuns, and then called it quits. Truthfully, it's because Ryan Murphy loves to trot out Evan Peters and other twinks and get them as naked as possible. Hey, look, I love Evan Peters and I love twinks, but I don't need the teasing. I'd rather spend the hour watching actual porn ... or, preferably, some quality programming. Yes, there still IS some on television. But AHS ain't it.

AND

Season 1 may have had "untimely" deaths,

but no squirting blood every few minutes.

Season 1 had an idea. It had script.

Follow up seasons were just "horror" for "horror" sake.

Except, "Coven". It did have some good, creative points.

I watched it and was really creeped out. But what was the point of having those kids in the story? Was that part ever explained?

I didn't watch part two and I may not but I think that part of the climax of the story is why the children are in the hotel.

It seems that there was a character not introduced in the first episode that begins all the blood that soaks the Hotel Cortez.
