First one gone soon

Post by MrStehenbleiben (imported) »

Hi folks,

It is finally going to happen. The first one (left) will be surgically removed on november 24th, maybe a bit sooner. Unfortunately the right stays for the moment. The doctor said she would remove it a year and a half ago, but eventually decided to perform a orchidopexy. Bummer... but...

I am infertile anyway and after multiple TESE-operations I started to complain about pain in my left testicle. A lot of treatments and tests later, my doctor was ok with removing it. Also because I am infertile anyway and there are some risks I have which increase the chance of testiclecancer. But these last two arguments only made the decission to remove it easier for her. The endless pain is the primary reason.

Lookng forward to it. The first thought to do the surgery within 4-6 weeks since my apointment with the urologist, but hey... better to wait for the 24th november then not have the surgery at all ;).

Maybe I'm a bit of a freak, but the idea of a epidural is enjoying. I have some wanabefeelings towards paraplgia for instance and the last time I got an epidural and started to loose feeling and control of my legs it felt wonderfull. It is a nice temporary bonus to the orchidectomy, haha...

After that... finding a way to get rid of the right one to. Then the penis. It will be a long journey, but in theory I'm on a third of the trip to my endresult: genital nullo!

Wish me luck!

Greets,

Mr Stehenbleiben.

Haha... not much interest from you guys. But maybe after this update:

Tomorrow is the big day. My urologist is going to remove my left testicle. Looking forward to it. I hope the other will follow soon, but first things first ;).

If possible, I will make a few pictures of my healingproces.

BTW: did any of you made pictures of the beforesituation? As a rminder maybe of what you had before castration?

I had the surgery this morning. Feeling ok. Unfortunately they had to give me a catheter for the next two days, because i couldn't pee. They also put on a suspensoir to keep the swelling in my empty left part of my scrotum under control. Tried to feel underneath and it feels lovely not to feel a ball.

I was not allowed to see the surgery itself cause of the steril area, but after the removal they showed the testicle. Strange to see it, but i saw that the doctor removed most of the cord to.

I keep you posted. Going to sleep now. Pain is coming up...

I'm glad you were able to achieve what you wanted. Hope you have a speedy recovery! (As "simple" as one might think snipping off testicles would be, the healing for most people takes a couple months so be patient.)

Thank you for sharing your experience. Was your testicle removed through your scrotum or inguinally? Did you take before pictures?

They removed the testicle inguinally. They removed as much of the cord as possible. And I did take pictures. I even trie to make pictures of the recovery. Here are the first few of them:

This is before the operation. My wife doesn't like my crotch to be shaven.

This is the same day of surgery, about twelve hours later. I am in the hospital at that time. They

out of my scrotum. I couldn't pee so they put in a catheter.

This is on day 3. Today! You clearly see my right nut is till there (on the left side on the photo). You see the emptyness on the other side.

Yesterday they let me go home. But I had some complications with my bladder. I couldn't pee so the bladder became to full after the surgery. It contained about 1000cc which is twice it maximum. Thats probably the cause I still can't pee. The catheter stays for a week to let the bladder heal/rest and get its elasticity back. The fresh scar is actually my left side. That is where they did the orchidectomy. If you look closely on the left side of my penis (the side with the catheterhose) you see a simular scar. That is of the orchidopexy of last year. An orchidopexy is ment to bring the testicle down in the scrotum and fixate it.

Hope to show some more photo's in the near future. Please ask everything you want.

No problem. I will make some more wenn the process continues.

Question to all who underwent a single or double inguinual orchidectomy: my skin between the surgeryscar and the empty scrotum feels numb. Did you experience the same? Did the normal feeling return? If so, how long after the operation?

Thanx for answering!

Greets
