As we know the brain tends to accept pictures as reality.
Wouldn't it be a good idea if someone filmed his own
castration (or penectomy, mods etc.) with a GoProCamera from his own perspective
and that would be available as film for Virtual Reality Goggles? Medical
procedures often get filmed anyway....why not using a camera at your head?
This would serve several purposes, I think.
Men who like the sexual thrill could use the VR goggles plus the film to get the feeling of their "own" castration over and over again.
Others who are about to get castrated could have a "pre-view".
And the DIY folks could get a better impression of what (not) to do
and how, thinking of injections, banding etc.
Since these films would seem more real there were a huge difference to
regular videos on the net.
Are there any such films for VR goggles already?
Virtual Reality Castration, Penectomy etc.

Highly unlikely. Remember, good VR goggles track movement and you'll need it filmed from multiple points/angles. Single camera would not work.CastraCare (imported) wrote: Tue Sep 29, 2015 12:36 am Are there any such films for VR goggles already?
Also - you turn your head while watching it, the turn is tracked by goggles, but where to get video for that turn? So you are forced to view it from fixed perspective. Also without proper transitions in video, you get motion sickness.
PS. Occulus Rift was enough to trick my sense of balance, but not enough to feel real. And it was 3d rendered, not a prerecorded video.
PPS. PoV videos for what you are describing would be really awkward.

Ok, obviously it´s not that easy in an high-end version for VR goggles.
But still I think it wouldn´t even need a perfect visual effect. The brain is easily tricked into believing as long as the perspective is close to the natural one. So even without movement, meaning just a camera fixed to a pole next to (or above) the patient´s face might work. It would at least show what happens "down there" almost as if you look down at your body watching the procedure.
In tests, using the same effect, it worked even if the body looked totally different from your own.
Hey, even a comic version might have a certain effect.

while a gopro wouldn't work great for that a PANOCAM3D would work just fine

I don't think so and if there were I'm not sure I'd want to use them. Oh I'm sure I'd get a thrill out of it but I'd prefer to keep my interest in castration what it is now, a harmless fantasy. VR might turn a fantasy into an obsession.
