Provera Tablets?

Post by Hopeful1 (imported) »

I've read about dosages of depo Provera and dosages of Cyproterone Acetate tablets that are used for chemical castration. I noticed on Inhouse Pharmacy's page that Provera tablets were available but I've never seen any info on here about anyone using it. Is it because the dosage required would be more expensive than the depo or the CA or for some other reason? While I'm not afraid of needles by any means, it just seems that a tablet would be easier than sticking yourself in the leg or butt with what appears to be a fairly long, large guage needle every month or so.

I suspect, that for usual uses of depo provera (chemical castration or contraceptive use) - using it as daily pill would have been inconvenient or just impossible. Also, I suspect that pill form is harder on the liver.

Provera 10mg daily only could lower your T a bit. For tarnsition some MtF take provera 10-30mg daily along estradiol and spiro. , In the leaflet of depo-provera you can read that only injectable form of medroxyprogesterone exert antigonadotropic activity , which is not seen in oral forms. However I "suposse" that youwould need more than 30mg daily If you want low your T by taking only provera. Liver risks must be considered on such high doses though

I´m injecting estradiol and progesterone 3 times a month since almost 7 months ago alternating buttocks and legs, I woud prefer takiIng cyproterone but I can´t afford It.
