Maybe I am mistaken on how Tamoxifen works?

Yeah, I was confused on this too and had to dig into it a bit. Tamoxifen is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). It only blocks the absorption/use of estrogen by certain tissues, most importantly in breast tissue (but also perhaps in the brain, leading to some cognitive effects, "brain fog."). There are other drugs that slay estrogen throughout the body (or more accurately, prevent its synthesis), like anastrozole. Will confirm with my MD and share more.

If the adrenal gland produces as much T as it does with me, then I don't think anyone here needs to worry about taking any testosterone supplements whatsoever at all, at all, at all. !!!

Try porgesterone micronized (bio-identical) and 2mg estradiol valerate oral or sublingual. both probably will be enough for hot flushes without feminisation.

Thank you for the information. Where can I get these in Alberta Canada?

I've not been on estrogen for long (four or five months), but I am currently using three '50' patches, changed twice weekly. (Supposedly for .150 mg/daily. I think. If I've done math right.)

I have to admit, my libido is above what it was when I was without hormones entirely, but not by a heck of a lot. My testosterone level is below the halfway mark for 'average' female range. To note here, my T levels have NOT changed since starting estrogen. I do get occasional erections, but I don't think they'd be enough for penetration, at least not without mechanical assistance (say something like a pump and an elastic.) So taking E for libido is definitely something I'd qualify as YMMV. (There has, however been breast development. How much is up for interpretation.)

I have tried ordering estrogen online, and unfortunately Customs has intercepted the order. Sadly, Canada seems to be more strict when it comes to such imports.

(Interestingly, as a eunuch, there was no real issue with waiting periods, or roadblocks in regards to dressing/living as female before starting on estrogen. The doc I'm seeing was eager to get me on something ASAP, once I mentioned my status, and that I'd been off testosterone for 6-8 months and would not be using it again.)

Under what conditions will a doctor willingly recommend estrogen?

I don't know but I have a check up in November and am going to ask my doctor and see what she says.

You may have to search hard to find such a doctor. It'd probably have to be a younger doctor regardless of sex since the younger generations aren't so hung up now as in the past such as in Caitlyn Jenner's (and my) generation.

Well I had my appointment and asked about estrogen therapy instead of testosterone. My doctor has referred me to a psychiatrist who specializes in gender related issues before going in that direction. back in the line waiting for an appointment. Seems that is all I do up here is wait.

Hi alltogether,

I seem to be some sort of "hypersensitive" to Estrogen.

After I have been to the doc to check if everything was OK and got a Hormone Level check that again showed my quite low T-Level (
)(without use of AAs or else) some five weeks ago I started to add Estrogen through transdermal patch.

As I intend a very low dose I used one 100 mcg patch and cut it in four pieces so one patch is 25 mcg and I left them on for a week (instead Change after 3-4 days) so it would be even less Estrogen.

Until now I have used one patch in four parts over the last four weeks and now reduced to 1/8 patch as I already have quite noticable breast tissue that even starts to jiggle a bit and quite tender and bigger nipples - just from one patch without adding any AAs!!! If it goes on like that after just one pack of patches (8 pieces) I might have an hourglass figure.

Is this result common if one has low T or am I very sensitive to E?

I really like the feeling of my nipples and breast tissue - however - as I laid out in other threads - I do not intend to transition but to maintain a low dose for health risks. I don't care the Feeling of breast and nipples and maybe a Little tush - however I have to present as a male in my Job, so if things proceed like this hiding soon might be hard to do.

Kind regards, Joe
