I guess no one on hear buys or uses estrogen without being monitored by a doctor or a least not without a perscription. Seem strange but I guess I will just have to search the web for information.

At my 2 week post-op exam I asked the urologist about hormone replacement. I told him I would rather stay away from testosterone and that "I read some men take estrogen to ward off bone loss." He said he wouldn't recommend estrogen and advised me to take a 600mg calcium tablet daily, which I'm doing, until I see him again in December.

Note that I´m on MtF TRH, :) I think your doctor did not recommend estradiol because you´re not MtF ,and so he did not see why he should put you at extra risk, however estradiol valerate patches will work ok for those over 40. Hardly any doctor prescribe estradiol to castrated men unless they are MtF.

Thanks for the information. I know all that. Male to eunuch does not count. My doctor insists I be on hormones and I am going to end up in the nut house if I have to stay on testosterone. My doctor does blood work every 6 months and I have to start using T about a month before I see her and when on it it I want to go out to the workshop and cut off my genitals which would land me in the nut house for sure. Can resist the urge when not on T but leaves me with no sex drive which is not fair to my wife. Just wanted to try it to see if I reacted to it the same way I do to T. I lived without T for so long I just seem to find the person I become when on it is someone I do not like at all.

What sort of body changes have you seen at that dose? Energy levels? Breast growth/nipple changes?

I still excercising like before, and I don´t feel limited in any form in my everyday life in spite I have kick off my T :) My estradiol dosage probably will be increase in the next month .

Hi,

I am also very interested in experiences with estrogen. As you can read in detail in my Introduction Thread http://forums.eunuch.org/showthread.php ... ing-advice I have a condition of low T without taking any Blockers etc.

As I am quite content with the condition as far as the calm effect and reduced libido is concerned and therefore would not like to Substitute T (as already suggested by a Lab) I am interested, if estrogen would help avoid health risks like Osteoporosis and prevent Hot flashes etc.

Are there guys out there with experience in a low dose estrogen Regime without T-Blockers for above purposes with only minimal feminisation - as I do not intend to Transition?

Joe

If combine tamoxifen with low dose estrogen you will not get feminisation http://www.drugs.com/tamoxifen.html Yes a low dose of estrogen will help with the adverse effects of low T. a patch or gel would be better than tablets.

I am going to talk to my endocrinologist about going that route and see what she says.

Sorry, but E can not convert to T. Only T can aromatize to E.
