Re: Spirotone
I loved it. But stopped because I grew breast and had server weight gain. I'm not a transvestite.

Re: Spirotone
I have been on Finsitride and Spirolactone for about 9 months now.
It's not for everyone I suspect but as gender questioning it has been a great move for me.
It has provided me with a soft intermediate step to transtition.
The changes are nominal, but important nonetheless. I am in a family position that currently make full transtition a great concern, a huge step.
But my testosterone levels as described by my doctor are significantly reduced that I don't have to think of myself as completely male anymore,
and it provides me with a way to soften my gender disphoria to a more managable level.
My hair is a lot longer.
My skin better
My labido lower and in my control, and joyfully feminine.
My aggression levels hugely diminished.
Muscle mass reduced.
Weight lower as a result of dieting ... I'M now at the optimal male range ( 75.0 Kg) and within striking distance of the optimal female range for my height.
My emotional range more nausanced.
Just beginning to experience the first signs of Gynaecomastia now.
My sense of my self as comfortably "not male" a positive sane and considered step, when the time comes this allows me to consider my next move calming from my current peace of mind as "not male" to the more determined movement to embrace with socialization ..... now female.
Hope that is of some help

Re: Spirotone
So if I do the 100mg 2x a day. How long before I would start noticing the effects like lower libido and impotency?

Re: Spirotone
Hmmm,
I suspect it would be inappropriate to give a definitive answer to that as we are all different, so too our homonal responces.
Also I would strongly recommend doing this through a doctor with some sensitivity to your specific medical needs and or risks.
That being said it takes time for your body to adjust and reduce it's T uptake and drain off existing T levels. Please excuse me if I have conveyed that in an inappropriate medical way as it is purely my personal perspective. Also I would suspect you doctor would recommend a staged introduction to Spiro as it may have side effects , though in my case nothing significant that I can recall. (Most likely 1 x 100 Mg daily for a few months) I was increased above that after 3 months I recall.
Lowered libido was a slow change over about 4 months I think, however even now I still have no major probelms achieving arousal. Though the duration and nature of my arousal has also progressively evolved. It could said I am now in control of my labido rather than my labido being incontrol of me.
I haven't quite answerd your question but I hope it is of some help

Re: Spirotone
spironolactone usually has a mild antiandrogen effect for most, specially when Is used alone. I´m currently in a "low" dosage 150mg of spiro, but I´m injecting 12.5mg estradiol bi-weekly 187.5mg progesterone bi-weekly and 1 depo provera monthly. Results: chemically castrated and a growing feminisation. I would like full feminisation as I´m Mtf but this takes years.

Re: Spirotone
I only test Androcur. If you need fast results, you should take this.
I'm now on my 5th use of it and it need 10 days and then I'm instantly impotent and have no more sex drive a week later.
It's a very calm feeling and periodical I need this sexless state. Recovery needs one up to two months and is also a very calm time and the needed sex is more like that what females need. My wife loves it and I also (very!!!).
Mostly I'm using it only for weeks and I like the changes in my sexual and sensual state, the ON and OFF.
Its like Holidays from strong sex/masturbation urges.
