I'm taking my injections of T, which basically amounts to normal erections/orgasms, with regular mood, and no testicles? (I'll write a healing progress update on my thread soon.) I've got a physical coming up in a few weeks and plan to include my doctor in my experiments with lowering or occasionally eliminating my test injections.

One quick note, maybe not your cup of tea... but after some experimentation and before I went back on testosterone 10 or so days ago, I had a very nice orgasm with anal/prostate stimulation and rubbing my (flaccid) penis. Didn't know I could do that! (Not wild about the anal stuff but nice to have the option.)

Yes, interesting and fun comparing likes and dislikes. Don't know if you were surprised by your pleasurable reaction to anal or that you could get off with a soft penis. I became impotent after the radiation in '06 but had no trouble experiencing pleasurable orgasms with no ejaculations from a limp cock. Anal stimulation? It could put me in an erotic zone like no other activity. Enjoy that new surprise, it's addictive.

Wow! I got a statement from the hospital in yesterday's mail. I had no idea my balls were worth that much. Thirty nine line items divided in to four categories, lab tests, operating and recovery rooms, anesthesia supplies & pharmacy. Total= almost $22K! The operating and recovery rooms were the big winner, about 75% of the total. Not bad considering I was only there for a little over 5 hours. And I haven't received any bills from the doctor or anesthesiologist yet. I'm sure insurance will cover most of it and looking at the big picture, I'm really glad those balls are now just medical waste.

Wow, $22K is expensive! My bilateral orchiectomy with local anesthetic at my urologist's clinic was $3605, but insurance paid $1138 and I paid $58. For $58 I got to watch my castration, take a picture of my balls for posterity, AND was home on my couch within about an hour and 20 minutes after I left the house that morning! ;)

My urologist billed $1000 but received $364 from my insurance. His clinic billed $2000 and received $522, the lab where they were sent my testicles charged $480 and received $207, and the lab technician who sliced them each into a dozen pieces, put the slices on slides, and wrote a report to my urologist charged $125 and received $45.

I should clarify that the $22K was just a statement from the hospital, not an actual bill. Like dvdbll posted, the hospital will bill the insurance and the insurance will pay a fraction and the hospital will write off the rest, maybe billing me a portion. The same will go for the doctor & anesthesiologist. I don't think we have to hold any fundraisers for the hospital. In the spring they started construction on two new buildings that will take two years to complete and more than double the size of the hospital so they're not hurting for $. A couple other area hospitals are adding on too although their additions are smaller.

6 1/2 weeks since my castration. All the tenderness is gone except for a little on the bottom where the doc sewed everything back together after cutting away much of my scrotum. The lump inside has become much softer and smaller just like the doc said it would. He said it would take at least a couple months. I think it will take longer to disappear altogether but it is progressing. I'll be glad when the lump is gone because I still pull up on what's left of my scrotum for comfort before sitting. And it's small enough now that I can pee standing up again rather than having to sit because the stream would go wherever it wanted to.

I still haven't received any billing statements from Medicare or my supplemental carrier and haven't paid anything yet so I don’t know what, if any, my out of pocket expenses will be.

I have absolutely no regrets about my castration. It’s one less medical concern to deal with and I am enjoying the uniqueness of being a eunuch. My wife and eunuch mentor are the only other people who know me that are aware of my castration.

I had several other problems related to the prostate cancer radiation in ’06 and my testicles were more collateral damage. My testosterone was slowly dropping and taking any remaining libido along with it. I decided to speed up the process with everclear injections, finally being castrated on 9-3-15. My libido no longer exists and it’s nice not to have the distraction. I’m going to change my profile orientation to “asexual”. I do experience some hot flashes but I’d define them as minor to moderate, certainly something I can live with. I have no desire to go on any TRT. I am taking a 600mg calcium capsule twice a day per the doc’s instructions. I don’t see him until December.

Thanks again to all at EA and especially my eunuch mentor. I never would have made it this far without everything I've learned from all of you.

Yes, it took a while for me to become adapted to the eunuch life, but it is now the best thing that ever happened. The TRT is truly changing. With it, I am as I was for most of my life; without it life feels very good. The sex that had become a little old, is replaced by a deeply enjoyed cuddle, and much greater peace with the world. The rest of the world is much more enjoyable as 🍑👋 more collegiate, friendly, sharing and less bitingly competitive.

I find this last thought curious, given the successful eunuch generals, admirals and highly competitive civil servants and administrators.

NVR, great update. You sound like you're doing very well and happily moving along. I understand now why eunuchs seem to drop off of the site after their goal has been reached... you just sort of slip back into the routine but the incredible drive and the need for these resources and discussion is not really there. Glad you're still posting and sharing and encouraging. I think your local hospital result was altogether better than my healing process -- again, not a criticism of Dr A, just observing that I have an incredible tolerance of pain and the recovery from this was no joke. Of course, I would have probably spent some years figuring out how to get to a hospital and have a urologist do this, whereas Dr A scheduled me right away. So there's pros and cons I guess.

Anyway, thanks for checking in on me and good luck with the next few weeks of healing!

Jan. 7 will mark eighteen weeks since my castration and scrotal reduction surgery. I wish the surgeon would have taken more of my scrotum but I suppose I would only be completely satisfied with no scrotum at all so I’ll live with it the way it is. It’s like a little pouch that hangs below my penis, certainly not an uncomfortable empty sack that I’d probably have had he not taken anything at all. I doubt I’ll opt for more surgery to remove the rest of it because castration was my goal and it was achieved.

The healing was complete weeks ago and I saw the urologist in mid-December for the three month follow-up. He was satisfied and wants me back in a year unless something comes up. I hardly even think about it anymore and now it’s easy to understand why some EA members disappear after being castrated. The mystery, anticipation and desire, whether fantasy or real are all gone. I still read EA at least a couple times a week but haven’t logged on in a while because I didn’t think I had anything to add to the discussions.

I absolutely love being a eunuch and haven’t regretted it for a moment. I like being a member of this unique community but no one else knows except for my wife who lost interest in testicles decades ago. My small remaining libido is gone altogether and I don’t miss the distraction one bit. I haven’t noticed any other significant changes either. I’ve lost a noticeable amount of body hair and get small infrequent hot flashes but had those before castration, probably because my T levels were low anyway due to the testicular atrophy caused by the radiation for prostate cancer and then the Everclear injections. I take a 600 mg. tablet of Calcium twice a day per the urologist’s instructions but have no plans for any TRT unless recommended by a doctor. At age 70+ why? Medicare and my supplemental coverage covered all but $17.

That covers everything I can think of that occurred since 9-3-15 regarding becoming a eunuch. Thanks again to all members of EA, especially the guys who run this site and a special shout out to my eunuch mentor. I would never have done this without the education and encouragement I got from many of you. Kristoff, an envelope from me will show up in your POB shortly.

One thing I didn't mention is I see the oncologist who treated my prostate cancer once a year. I asked him about castration last summer. He was supportive and offered to help me find a willing urologist if my current urologist wasn't willing. As it turned out my current urologist agreed and I didn't need the oncologist's assistance. My next appointment is around the end of February. He always comments how my testicles are atrophying. I'm not going to say anything about being castrated and let him discover it during the exam and wait for his reaction. He's a good guy with a sense of humor. I hope we both have a good laugh.
